Seokjin's P. O. V.
Shit!
I rummaged through my pockets and my bag but still no phone.
The interview went well, I think. So I came to the cafeteria hoping to get a cup of coffee but seems like I lost my phone somehow.
The main issue being I was supposed to call Yoongi once I was done, and now...well, screwed!
I walked back to the main hall heading towards the exit, guess I'm gonna have to take the bus anyway.
"Kim Seokjin?" I turned to the voice and saw the receptionist looking at me "Yes".
"Your friend called because you haven't been returning calls"
Yoongi I thought rolling my eyes at those two for being so overwhelmingly fussy these days.
"Yeah, I lost my phone" I shook my head awkwardly cursing my own clumsiness.
"He told me to give you this address, said you should go there because he is busy and will meet you there" she gave a polite smile as I took the address from her.
But forty minutes later as the cab dropped me off, leaving me in the middle of nowhere, I was terribly confused as to why Yoongi would be busy here.
"What the fuck even is this place?" I gathered my jacket close around me, my eyes roamed about the area as I walked past the large steel doors, deserted dull skeletons of half formed buildings stared back at me. It was a construction site but too lifeless, no workers, no machines working, too silent. My footsteps gruffly echoing about as I tried to understand where Yoongi could be in here. The ground was dusty, stale mortar mix and broken pieces of iron, bits of bricks, scrap, sand and an awful lot of dirt covered the entire space.
The skies had been rumbling dryly since morning, dark grey tufts gathering overhead blocking away the afternoon sun and enhancing the dull aura of the place.
"There you are pet" I heard a voice at my back, sickeningly sweet and turned around "I was hoping you'd come".
The first things my eyes caught were auburn hair and glossy jewelled heels, the tips grey due to the dusty ground and my insides contracted as I began recognizing her. I had seen fading glimpses of that auburn hair when I had tried to follow Taehyung around. Confusion swamped over me, then came fear that had me frozen in one place and then the instinct to survive. But all thoughts were blown to the air when she pulled out a golden gun from her purse.
People like her are like the Grim Reaper, they appear only when there are lives to end.
"Won't you ask who I am?" She said taking a step, the glimmering weapon softly resting against her hip while her fingers tightened around it and as if in involuntary reaction my feet moved back and I gulped, fear weakening my heart.
"Ooh" her brows arched up "you seem to know who I am, huh?"
Three men came out from behind the empty buildings, heading towards me. I stumbled back further, praying frantically to calm my weakass heart and use the skills I had worked so hard to acquire!
However, running seemed like a better option at the moment so I ran, not waiting anymore as the men in black neared. The place was absolutely deserted, every turn I took looked the same, every narrow lane exactly like other as I scurried, breath sputtering, lungs scalded, throat parched and vision fogging with dread, trying to get away from the fate following at my heels. But what I couldn't understand was why now, it's been so long since I had gone after them, didn't report them or anything, I even hid away all those pictures I had collected as evidences. Things had been so peaceful these past few months that I had began to push that part to become my past and yet here I am again.
