#Warning: Mature!Third Person’s P.O.V.
“Are you really sure about this?” Jin asked being taken aback by Taehyung’s words, eyes widening as he tried to check if the other really meant what he actually said.
“Yeah, I’m sure. I practically ruined your chances every damn time, it’s only fair that I make it right” he spoke caressing Jin’s head, smiling widely to think he was actually being a good lover and parent.
“But you know going to work means I’ll be away almost all day. You sure you’ll be okay with Soo alone…all day…with no me to help you out?” Jin waited for the answer, checking unsurely at Taehyung’s face.
“Eh, that’s rude baby…she’s my little girl after all. I’m sure we’ll be fine, you’re just worrying too much” Taehyung spoke, arms coiling about Jin as they sat trying to enjoy the movie playing before them but in reality it was just background noise as they kept deviating to other stuff.
Jin sceptically agreed for now, leaning onto the other to try to concentrate back on the movie.
It had been about a couple of weeks that they had began settling into this new side of living together, things were finally good, they were so happy all the time, smiling and revelling in each other’s company, it was almost too good to be true.
And Taehyung knew that no matter how content n delighted Jin looked right now, it was actually his fault that Jin didn’t get a chance to have a normal life, fulfil his dreams of becoming a photographer and he had been tied down because he had to take care of Soohee all by himself since he had not been there to stand by him through those troubled times.
So, he took it on himself to do it right this time…Jin deserved this, especially after everything he had put him through.
He softly pecked at Jin’s head smiling to himself as he promised to himself that if he could then he would go back in time and he would make sure they had a perfect love story…guess, it’s never too late to begin again.
Jin tilted his head up to stare at him, he was more than sure Taehyung wasn’t aware what it was to actually care for a baby and was still debating with the thought of going ahead to look for his favoured profession.
“What? I’m really serious about this” Taehyung tried to assure him again with a smile “don’t worry”
“What is she allergic to?” Jin asked blankly.
“What?” Taehyung was a bit confused with the question but realized Jin was putting him up for a test “soy milk, I think” he remembered Jin telling him once about it.
“She’s allergic to peanuts too” Jin informed anew before throwing the next question “favourite fruit? She doesn’t like apple juice by the way, it has to be orange juice, always”.
“Baby” Taehyung squeezed him to himself, chuckling to see Jin be so concerned n dead worried which clearly showed on his face. “I’ll learn to take care of her, just like you did” he cupped his face and Jin nodded to the words, he kissed those soft plush lips in gentle assurance and felt gratified when Jin kissed him back with equal intention.
So, three days later when Jin was off to work and left Soohee to Taehyung’s care, it was a fun scene to watch the perfectly adept soldier being turned to a pitiful man who could be heard whining after his daughter as she waddled through the apartment, her ecstatic giggles a sheer mockery to all his trials to keep her in one place.
“Sit” Taehyung spoke setting her down as he sat down with her on the floor, surrounding her with her most favourite toys and building a barricade around her with plushies and cushions. He took out his phone, clicking a pic of a happily playing Soo and sent it to Jin to show how well they were spending their day.
