Anna walked through the corridor hugging tightly the heavy books Madam Pince had asked her to take to Professor Flitwick. It had not crossed her mind that a single conversation with Draco Malfoy could escalate that badly in less than an hour. A part of her felt a bit guilty she had been so harsh and blunt on him, but thinking about what he had told her and knowing the way he's been treating other students, Anna knows she did the right thing. She was not someone who would ever get so verbally aggressive to anybody, however Malfoy certainly needed to be told those things by someone. She could bet that none had told him off like that, apart from Harry, Ron and Hermione, perhaps. Still, he looked very defensive and Anna knew that she triggered his anger even more with her comments. That is why she always tries to be nice to others. People mirror each other's behaviours, so the more she would voice her opinions, the more stubborn and defensive he would get. Anna was no better than Draco if she kept attacking him like that and violence never brings peace. Nevertheless, she could not pretend that Malfoy's words did not leave their mark inside her. Hearing his insults hurt a lot and she got defensive.
The young woman shook her head incredulously. Malfoy was incapable of treating her like a human being, even if she fell to her knees for forgiveness. That man lived from belittling others. Anna was struggling to understand him. She was trying so hard to see anything beyond his hatred, envy, anger and pride. Because as much as she wanted to accept that this is all he has in him, there was that gut feeling inside her, telling her that he was much more than meets the eye. Or maybe she was biased because of her visions, in which he had been loving, sweet and down to earth. Who was that guy? Definitely not Draco Malfoy. But then again, Anna, like everyone else around Draco, only saw his behaviour. What was causing that behaviour was a mystery. There was no doubt Malfoy was strongly opinionated and biased towards muggleborns, but if he is also behaving the way he does to purebloods like Ron, Harry and Neville, that indicates there is a different motive. And she really wanted to find out what that was. Anna knocked the door outside the Charms Classroom and pushed it softly when she heard an invitation from Flitwick.
"Hello, miss Stone" Professor Flitwick greeted her. The room was empty now, leaving only him and Anna. She looked down feeling embarrassed. He had welcomed her more than anyone to the workshops and the school, and yet she caused trouble during his class.
"Professor... Madam Pince has asked me to bring you these..." Anna said almost whispering and placed the books on a nearby table.
"Thank you" The teacher nodded, with a serious expression. Anna sighed heavily. The least thing she could do is apologise to him. She gave him a sincere look.
"I'm really sorry I have ruined your lesson, sir...I didn't mean to. The Slytherins were making fun of me and were calling me names-"
"I have heard that potty-mouth, Mr Malfoy. And I get it. I would do and say the same if I was you" said Professor Flitwick leaving Anna open-mouthed. In her perception, he was a well-mannered, low profile man.
