In the Slytherin common room, Draco was sitting on the couch, eating one of the cakes his mother had sent out with an owl that morning. Pansy was sitting next to him, stroking his hair, ranting about stuff Draco did not even care about. He was not listening to what she was saying. Instead, he gazed at the flames in the fireplace. His mind went back to Anna Stone and how she threw his expensive gift at him. She was trouble. Within her first week she had caused a havoc in the school. She always had an answer for everything. She was feisty and ready for a fight. She was bold and rude, but also devious. Also, Draco could not help but notice how annoyingly popular she already was.

Of course, Pansy had told him about how Longbottom and the others had defended her. Stone had everyone wrapped around her finger from day one. All these days, she had been the one who managed to trigger Draco's anger in a heartbeat for some reason. He recalled her words. Her hatred for everything he and his dad represented. Draco does not appreciate when people are talking disrespectfully about his father or mother. Today in the Alchemy class, he wished he could shut that smart mouth of hers. He hated that annoying, filthy mudblood with passion. Draco threw the cake wrapping in the fire and watched it burn. What he could not understand was why Stone talked to him and faked interest and sympathy. Normally, her peers would either avoid him or fight with him. Not have a conversation. As much as Draco was being hostile, she would still try to approach him. Unless she was trying to provoke him. Or perhaps Potter sent Stone to spy on him, since Draco would not suspect she would, with her being new to the school. Whatever it was, Draco needed to be careful around her. There was something very fishy about Anna Stone's background and she has proven herself to be rather...observant. First week of lessons and she has already noticed a lot about Draco. Last thing he needs is for her to find out about his plans.

"Go upstairs. I need to be alone" Draco hissed at Pansy. Her face fell and she went to kiss his lips, but Draco moved his head and her mouth touched his cheek instead. He was not in the mood for lovey dovey stuff.

"What is wrong, teddy bear? Don't you love me anymore?" Pansy pouted

"What is wrong, teddy bear? Don't you love me anymore?" Pansy pouted. Draco stayed silent, containing his temper. Love? Seriously? She thinks I love her? She should feel lucky I let her call herself my girlfriend, Draco thought. And I hate those stupid pet names!

"I just need to stay alone, pumpkin. Please" said Draco, forcing his voice to be sweeter. Pansy straddled him with her hands behind his neck. She gave him a cheeky smirk and he mirrored her. Pansy had grown to be, without a doubt, an attractive woman. And Draco also appreciated how assertive she was towards others, but obedient to him.

"Okay but I need a proper kiss first" said Pansy. Draco thought that perhaps he could channel his anger in a more productive way. There is no harm in having some fun before going back to his mission. His lips locked with hers in a dominating kiss. She let him take the lead and he deepened the kiss, bringing her closer. It was late and he had to carry on working on his plan, so Draco pushed Pansy away softly and she got off his lap.
