A few moments after Draco entered the room, Stone did as well, as he had expected. He had noticed she was always going to the Alchemy class a bit earlier than the other students and that is why he had too that day. The moment she saw him standing in the corner with his arms crossed, she lost all the colour on her face. With a terrified expression, Stone ran to find her seat, avoiding eye contact with him and started taking her books out. Draco slowly walked towards her until he was extremely close to her. He circled around her table, observing her nervous response to his proximity. She was shaking, panting softly and anxiously stacking her books, but never allowing herself to look at Draco. That moment, he was really tempted to grab her by the waist and kiss her senseless, but mentally slapped himself as a reminder of what his aim should actually be. He moved behind her, close enough to feel the heat of her body, and whispered in her ear.

"Is there something wrong, Stone?" Stone moved quickly towards the window and as far away as possible from Draco, without giving him a single look. Although Draco could swear he saw her shivering before she did so.

"No. Why are you asking, Malfoy?" she crossed her arms and finally raised her head to give him a detached look. Draco would definitely not fall for that. She was hiding something. It could be either the fact that she forgot their connection that much it had turned to hatred, or that she could pick up the electricity in the air and it made her uncomfortable. Regardless, Draco had to know for sure. Admittedly, he enjoyed teasing her, but he did not like the fact that she seemed scared of him lately.

"You're acting very weird today" Draco raised and eyebrow and approached her again, witnessing her nervous reaction once more. Draco almost groaned to himself. Why did she have to be so irresistible? Her cheeks turned a deep shade of red and her eyes widened when Draco stood only a few inches away from her.

"I-I don't know what you mean..." she stuttered and looked on the side.

"Firstly, your mouth is shut for once." Draco taunted her playfully. "Also, you seem nervous" Draco scanned her face carefully for signs. He was no Legilimens, but it was easy to see she was forcing herself to mask her emotions. Of course, she was failing to do so. Draco smiled at her, appreciate the fact that Stone was not a person who would lie easily. In contrast with everyone else he knew.

"I think you're imagining things" said Stone and Draco smirked.

"Is that so? Then why are you trembling and blushing for? You would be a terrible occlumens, do you know that?" he chucked and she pushed him aside glaring

"Is that so? Then why are you trembling and blushing for? You would be a terrible occlumens, do you know that?" he chucked and she pushed him aside glaring.

"Get of my back, will you, Malfoy? I thought we agreed to stay away from each other. Didn't we?" she snapped at him and went to her desk, preparing the mixing tubes for the elixirs. Draco was concerned with her reaction to say the least. Stone would never be like this. Had she read something in the book of Sacred Twenty Eight? He tried desperately to think of a scenario to explain her behaviour. Maybe he was overreacting and she was just having a bad day. However, Draco was confident in his skill to read people well and that seemed unlikely. The anger and fear was without a doubt directed to him. Therefore, he thought it would be a good idea to test her behaviour if he mentioned the Halloween dance.
