I FELT INCREDIBLY WARM
all around me as I woke up, slowly opening my eyes. Light flooded my vision and I grimaced, turning my head in the opposite direction and gazing at the man in front of me. Happiness swelled throughout my chest when I met Spencer's eyes, which were half-open and full of admiration. Good. He wasn't just a dream.I was Spencer's girlfriend. That wasn't a dream either.
I had originally imagined it to be a little more romantic, like on a date, not after I bawled my eyes out in front of him like a baby. Of course I didn't mind, but I really hope that he didn't do it to make me feel better.
I was suddenly aware of the way we were laying g, with both our bodies pressed up against the other and our legs tangled. My arm was around his torso, and Spencer's was underneath my shirt, stroking my back up and down in soft motions. I smiled with delight, burying my face into his chest to hide the blush growing on my face.
"Morning." I croaked out, feeling as happy as ever.
"Hi." He whispered in a raspy voice that made me completely melt. Spencer hummed with delight, pulling me in closer and rubbing my back up and down fully. I shuddered against his touch. "Did you sleep well?" Spencer asked softly.
"Yup. So good." I replied.
"Did you dream of me?" He asked in a teasing voice.
I rolled my eyes. "No."
"I'm hurt."
"I would if I could control it." I shot back with a chuckle. "But why would I need to dream when I have you in the flesh?" I asked him, looking up at the man with a small smirk. Spencer looked so cute in that moment—his eyes were puffy and his cheeks were pink and even chubbier. On top of that, the hair on the top of his head was sticking up everywhere, making me chuckle.
"I guess you're right." He sighed, kissing the top of my head. "You're lucky enough to get to have all of me."
"You're annoying." I muttered sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
"Thank you." Spencer muttered, grinning down at me. He paused, suddenly furrowing his eyebrows like he was contemplating something. "...so I was thinking about us finally making it official last night, and, well—"
My jaw dropped and I pulled back immediately, staring at Spencer with weary eyes. "Don't tell me you're taking it back." I scowled with a glare.
"No!" He immediately squeaked out, shaking his head frantically. "No take backs. I just don't want you to think that I asked you because you were vulnerable." Spencer muttered guiltily, looking down at me. "I didn't realize it until after I asked you—another time probably would've been better, but I hope you know that it really did come from the deepest of my desires, not anything else—" Spencer spurted out quickly, drawing in a nervous sharp breath.
