{Sonny's p.o.v.}
I ran across the rooftops, my mind reeling with memories. I kept stumbling over my own paws as I sprinted towards my destination.
"Freak!"
"Idiot!"
"Why do you even bother coming to school?"
Voices kept echoing in my head as I ran.
"You need to get your grades up!"
"No guy would ever go out with you, ugly!"
"You're a pathetic excuse of a daughter!"
My whole body was in pain, I collapsed when I had finally arrived.
It was the roof where Donatello and I had watched the sunrise. I now knew why it was so familiar.
It was the place I once called home.
I dragged myself over the side to the ladder and started climbing down.
1...2...3 windows down.
I shoved the window open and quietly entered the room.
I stood there slowly looking around the room...my room.
It was empty, except for an old and rotting bed frame. I huffed at the sight. I was gone for what, a month? Maybe two? I don't know, but either way, they sold all my stuff!
I opened the closet door and there was nothing there but empty hangers. They sold my clothes too?
I looked over at a corner by the window. I saw a big red stain on the carpet. It looks like they didn't erase all the evidence that I even exist. That stain was from when my father hit me on the head with that bottle.
I growl at the memory, and quickly exited the room.
It was dark throughout the small apartment, but I could see just fine. I made my way to the bathroom, holding my shaking and bleeding arms. I looked through the cabinet and found some anti-bacterial spray and wrap around bandages. I closed the door and turned on the light, hissing at the brightness. I put the toilet lid down and sat on it.
I looked over the wounds on my arms. They were pretty deep, but hopefully it didn't damage anything important. I sprayed the wounds, wrapped the banages around and tugged them tight so they would stay. I looked into the mirror to take a look at my ear. The blood had stopped, but dried blood still lingered. I was about to lick the fur on my wrist so I could clean it, but stopped myself. Instead, I turned on the sink and bent down to stick my ear under the cold water.
Wait, they might hear the water and come in! I quickly turned off the water and the light before peeking out the door. I saw that their room was open and quietly creeped over on all fours. I poked my head in, but saw that nobody was in there. I then checked in the living room and the kitchen, but nobody was there either.
Then, I noticed a pile of papers on the table. I looked them over and saw that they were all bills. So it finally caught up to them. All the years of spending money on drugs. They probably ditched town or are in jail. *sigh* And I don't feel the least bit sorry for them.
10 years of yelling at me! Of punishing me! Of beating me!
Before I realized it, the living room was destroyed. Everything was either tossed to the opposite side of the room or had claw marks raked across them. I flopped onto the ground, breathing heavily, and passed out.

On the way to the lair, all I could think about was the dispair in Sonny's eyes.
Master Splinter was waiting for us at the entrance. I think he expected us to return with Sonny, not with bruises. He helped Leo lay Raph on the couch as I placed Mikey next to him. Leo flopped down to sit on the floor, but I just stood there, staring at my unconcious brothers.
Sonny would never do this if she was in her right mind. I know she wouldn't. She's kind and gentle, only fierce when she needs to be. She's loving and protective like a mother. One time, when Raph was beating on Mikey about something like he usually does, Sonny jumped in and started hitting Raph. It was so funny! They started chasing each other around the lair, but somehow Sonny turned it into a game of tag and got eveybody to join in! Master Splinter said he didn't want to play, but I saw him standing by the dojo, a hint of a smile on his face, as he watched us laughing and chasing each other. *sigh* I miss her presence already.
"Donnie? Donnie!"
I snapped out of my daze, "What?"
"Are you okay?" Leo asked, a concerned look on his face. I felt a tear slip down my cheek and quickly rubbed it away.
"Yeah I'm fine. How are Raph and Mikey?"
"Uh, I just asked you that. You're the medical genius."
"Oh, right." I quickly checked Raph and Mikey for anything serious, and, finding nothing, went back to Leo to check him over.
"Looks like you're all fine, just need some rest."
"That's good to hear." Leo replied as he leaned back on the couch.
I looked around, noticing that Splinter wasn't there.
"He went to his room while you were spaced out."
"Oh, okay. I'm going to go to my room then. It's...been a long night."
Leo looked at me sadly, "Yeah, it has."
I turned and walked shakingly to my room. I closed the door, took off my mask and tossed it onto my nightstand. I flopped down on my bed and instantly fell asleep.
