Chapter 4

Lisa's pov

Finally, after years of waiting and admiring Jennie from afar i got the chance to look at her and i must say that she really did changed a lot, she's more beautiful today. Though it is not the time for us to be together again and it saddens me that she can't even remember any single of my family specially me, the one who she wants to marry when we grow up but now, she doesn't want to.

"So, let's get on with the marriage. Henry, what can you say about our daughters marrying each other?" My dad asked uncle Henry, nini's dad, from across the table.

"Right," he replied with a smile plastered on his lips before continuing "I guess that's a great decision, i mean this marriage can benefit both parties and i know for sure that my daughter wished for this since they were little kids." Uncle Henry looked at me and Jennie then back to my father. They are currently laughing and agreeing to what uncle have said.

"So Jennie and Lisa are going to be marrying each other 2 months from now." My father stated without hesitation

"Isn't it too soon, honey?" my mom interrupted

'No, no, no. It's perfect!" Uncle exclaimed enthusiastically

"Great then. So we'll be the one to pay for everything " My father said, feeling proud that finally he can do something for his only daughter.

"Uhm, I don't agreed to that. We can pay half of it." Uncle shook his head in disapproval "This is our daughters' wedding day and this will probably the topic all around the world. At least we pay for something, right?" He added. My dad sigh while shaking his head, giving up to his friend.

"Alright, alright. You win this time Henry. But, you'll pay for the cake and the simple needs then we'll do the rest. How about that?" My dad offered with his annoying grin knowing uncle wouldn't argue anymore.

"Fine, Marco." Uncle gave up just like that and they both started laughing when nini stood up that startled everyone

"I'm sorry to interrupt but isn't it rude that i have no say in this?" She looked at everyone in this room including me with coldness in her voice, making me shiver.

"I bet that Lisa doesn't know me." She added. Damn, she looks hot and she doesn't even change, being a cold-kitten that she is.

"Jen, sit down please..." Uncle Henry calmly said while staring at his daughter. Jennie scoffed

"Dad, I don't even know them nor that girl...." pointing at me "so you expect me to just marry someone who is clearly a stranger to me? that's not fair!" She argued.

"Honey, we know the Manobans since god knows how long, they are our partners. And Lisa is someone who you treasured so don't say things like that and go back to your sit." Uncle tried his best to be calm and gentle while explaining and looking back to my father then to his daughter whilst Jennie looked at her mom

"Mom!" She exclaimed in frustration needing her mom to defend her or just say something. Auntie sigh and held nini's arm

"Jen, sweetie. Listen to your dad, please. I promise everything will be okay." And gave her daughter a reassuring smile that i think gave Jennie in and sat back down to her sit with cross arms and a sigh without saying anything. She's more prettier than ever.

When the meeting had finally come to an end, i excused myself to my parents and went to Jiyong oppa, nini's eldest brother, to talk.

"Hey, wait, Jiyong oppa!" I called for him as he was about to go as well but thankfully i stopped him.

"Yes, lisa-shi?" He faced me with a smile that turns into a knowing look "Okay, I'll give you her number but promise me that if you ever do something to her, this man in front of you will tear you into pieces. Got that?" He threatened that made me gulp, damn the kims' genes are really scary but my nini is more scarier.

I think he noticed the scared expression i have so he hit my arm slightly and laugh "relax, dude. I won't ever do that to you because jennie will kill me first before doing anything to you." I sigh in relief and shook my head then smiled at him

"No need to worry, i will do everything for Jennie. Her happiness comes first." i stated the fact, he genuinely smiled at me

"I know that, silly. So let me give you." I look at him with furrowed brows, confused. He eyed me not believing what i just did.

"Do you want Jennie's number or not?" He asked that made me smile wider. I quickly get my phone inside my pocket and handed my phone to him. He typed my nini's number then gave me back my phone, i took it with a big smile.

"Thank you for this, oppa." I stated.

"Thank me later, pran." He patted my shoulder then left me there looking at my phone with Jennie's number. It's time to make her mine.

"Lisa!" My brother shouted from across the room.

"What?" I shouted back with the same tone he used.

"Where the fuck does my LP player go?" He shouted, hearing his voice getting louder and found him on my door.

"I don't know. Maybe dad's using it again. Asked him!" I shrugged while looking at him and he left. When i was about to look at my screen, he came back

"Oh! By the way, Jennie was looking for you the other day asking for your number but she left after i gave her your number then mom let her in and we-" I blinked for a couple of times and cut him off mid sentence

"Jennie looked for me and asked for my number?" I repeated because I'm not sure if i heard it right. He furrowed his brows

"Yeah, that's what i said....." He stopped and was about to continue when i stopped him

"Thank you for that. You may go." And i shut the door closed in front of him leaving him speechless at the other side of the door. While I'm grinning from ear to ear thinking my nini was looking for me without me knowing.

I quickly grab my phone from my bed and look for Jennie's number. It's been a week but I didn't have the courage to text her, call her nor go to their house. But knowing she did looked for me and asked for my number give me courage to do so. Without hesitation, i dialed Jennie's number and within three rings she answered.

"Hey!" I greeted.

"Who's this?" She coldly asked. Huh? i thought she asked for my number already? Did Bambam just lied to me? or did he even gave my number?

I'm thinking of possible things that had happen when she spoke again, making me come back to my senses.

"I feel like I'm talking to the air. If you don't talk, I'll hang up because I don't talk to strangers." Her coldness is sending shivers down to my spine making me all scared and nervous at the same time but I still find it cute that she's being like this.

"Oh, uhm, err," Fuck me for stuttering.

"What?" She asked, annoyance is visible in her voice and i think she's now creasing her brows. Cute.

I composed myself, taking deep breathes before finally have the courage to speak again. It's now or never.
