Surprisingly enough, Margaret Kane was able to sleep that night, better than she had for a long time. Apparently she had even over slept because by the time she had woken up and exited the drop ship, everybody else was already awake and working. Not wanting to lift a single finger, she slouched down onto a seat that had been torn out of the drop ship and placed besides a small fire.
The world around her soon became quite as she became entranced with the dancing orange flames staring back at her. Her stare was vacant yet looked rather intimidating to those who would pass her bye. She looked like a completely different person to the Margaret Kane that had first landed on the ground. Her shirt now had many holes and rips and hung off one of her shoulders loosely, stained with black blood on the collar. Her face was dirty, constantly covered with sweat, dark circles and dry lips. Her hair was no longer tied back, it was wild and knotty and often hid her face.
The way everybody looked at her too changed. No longer did everyone admire her mysterious beauty, no. After what they had seen when hanging John Murphy people grew afraid, disgusted and wary. She was a freak.
"Margaret!" She heard from behind her, but didn't move her head to acknowledge what she had heard. Unfortunately for her, two pairs of footsteps grew closer until Clarke and Finn had come into view. She observed their state, messy hair, rather flustered and standing closer than usual. Raising her brows and chuckling at them, 'they totally screwed' she thought.
"Have you seen Bellamy? We saw a pod come down from the ark, but we can't find him." Asked Clarke. What had she been thinking coming to ask Margaret Kane of all people? Why would she know, and why would she care? "Why in the world would I know where Bellamy is." Rather annoyed that her silence had been disrupted, she stood up and began to leave before Clarke grabbed her wrist asking; "Well don't you want to find out?"
Shaking her head at the pure ignorance of the Griffin girl, could she not see that Margaret did not want to help her, she didn't want to find what the ark had sent down and she most certainly wanted nothing to do with Bellamy Blake. "Just leave me alone Clarke, why would I want to help you?" She questioned, raising a single eyebrow and running her tongue along her bottom lip, thinking she had finally managed to shake her off. It may have been rather idiotic, but Margaret found herself holding a grudge towards just about anyone as a result of Murphy's banishment, especially Clarke who was the one to present the idea in the first place.
Sensing the obvious tension, Finn stepped in, removing Clarke's hand from the Kane's wrist. "Maybe we were just hoping that you're a good person."
"Looks like you thought wrong, Spacewalker."

The rest of the Kane girls morning consisted of avoiding any work and lifelessly laying on the hammock in the drop ship that she had now called her own.
A light breeze rushed through the metal home, making Margaret shiver only now realising that she had misplaced her jacket, and she knew exactly where she could find a new one. Bellamy Blake was certainly the type of guy to take something he didn't need just because he can, and entering his annoyingly large tent, seeing almost everything imaginable, Margaret now planned to take much more than a jacket.
She shrugged a rather large black patchwork jacket over her shoulders and instantly felt much better, the sleeves fell past her hands and the length of it almost reaching her knees.
Her small fingers brushed over the empty handgun that she remembered Wells taking from Bellamy on their journey to save Jasper. The weapon would be of no use to her, other than the fact that it had no bullets, Margaret knew she could never bring herself to pull the trigger. Her fingers quickly retracted from the object when she heard excitement entering the camp, and so she quickly exited the tent, zipping up the jacket in the process.
