Climbing up the ladder not too long after Bellamy and the grounder had disappeared up it, Margaret was unsure as to what she might find. The sight that she was met with once reaching the most upper level of the drop ship made her stomach churn. The grounder had been tied up in a standing position, blood already on his face, most likely from being knocked unconscious. The scowl on Bellamy's face too inflicted concern within the Kane, he stood opposite the grounder, staring at him with no amount of hatred she had ever seen, waiting for the much larger man to wake up.
"What're you gonna' do to him?" Asked Margaret joining Bellamy's side, rather nervous as to what he might say. However, they had been scared of the grounders for far too long and was glad Bellamy was taking some initiative. Something needed to be done to resolve their quarrel. She now stood besides the Blake, both of them observing the man who slowly began to regain consciousness. "Whatever it takes." He mumbled, finally now looking down at the girl who looked right back.
Margaret had retreating, watching as Bellamy began to ask the grounder questions. Her curious gaze had been caught by a pile of unfamiliar items that seemed to belong to the grounder, off to the side of the room. Crouching down, she reached for a leather bound notebook, placing a few stray and damp strands of hair behind her ear before opening the book. The grounders eyes found Margarets figure and began to struggle against his restraints when he saw her grab the book.
Startled, she sucked in a breath and quickly turned to face him and his gaze dropped immediately.
"Looks like we found something he doesn't want us to see, Mags." Bellamy made his way over to the girl, the two of them attempting to ignore the new name that had absentmindedly slipped out of his mouth. Glancing at the boy quickly, the girl began to flip through the pages confusedly unable to decipher most of the scribes. She stopped on a page with many dark markings, a few of them being crossed out... 10 to be exact. "'The hell is this?" Bellamy asked her, and Margaret knew exactly what she was looking at.
"It's our camp. Guessing that all those marks add up to 102. 10 are crossed out. That's how many people we've lost." She explained to him before once again turning her head to look at the grounder curiously, she didn't know whether to pity him or hate him. Was he the one killing those kids? Tried to kill Jasper?
Bellamy had returned to questioning the grounder, whilst Margaret remained sitting on the ground and had returned to flipping through his notebook. She loved to read more than anything and out of all of the masses of words she had read, never before had she seen anything like this before, the scribbles were a whole other language.
Clarke had soon joined the group on the top floor but quickly left after trying to reason with Bellamy. She had raved about 'what will happen when his people find out' and how the 100 are 'not soldiers'. But everyone knew deep down that this was a necessary evil, people were dying and Bellamy wanted to put an end to it.
Her breath hitched in her throat as a drawing had caught her eye, becoming panicked as she made out the familiar features. It was her. A black ink sketch of Margaret Kane in this savages journal. She jumped to her feet immediately rushing to face the grounder, holding the book up to him to show him the drawing.
"What the hell is this?" She demanded, not breaking eye contact with the man. She was far too blinded in this moment to be as afraid as she should be. Bellamy grabbed the book from her hands, observing what she had been talking about, and raising his eyes darkly to look at the grounder in both confusion and hatred.
"Answer me. Tell me why I'm in your book." Margaret asked again, her voice lower with venom dripping from each sound. She stepped closer to him, observing his features, consumed by the blood boiling within her. All she saw was red. People were dying because of him, Finn is dying because of him, Jasper was almost killed because of him.
