As it had turned out, Margaret Kane had missed a lot the night she lay out in the butterfly field. Octavia Blake had been discovered to be missing and a group had set out to find her, on top of this, their flares didn't work and 300 people had died despite the delinquents' efforts . Being on the ground had made Margaret realise how much of a heavy sleeper she actually was. She reentered camp not too long after she had left, making her way immediately the drop ship as she had done many times and returning to her small corner that she now called home.
All of the teens were far less active and alive than they had been yesterday, the news of the culling most likely breaking their spirits. Margaret, although she had been awake for quite sometime didn't move from where she lay on her hammock. She watched people move in and out of the drop ship for hours, not saying a word or moving a muscle the entire time, that was of course until Raven lifted the flap of the makeshift drop-ship door, walking over to the young Kane almost immediately.
"Kane, you did pretty well yesterday building those flares." Raven announced, crossing her arms and looking down on the girl, who only remained silent and gave her a bored look. "I'm building a radio to contact the ark, and though I hate to admit it I could use and extra set of hands."
Finally deciding to get off her ass for the first time that day, Margaret walked past Raven, giving her a sarcastic pat on the back. "Good luck with that, I'm needed elsewhere." It was a lie, what she wanted to say was 'I need to be elsewhere', and Raven saw right through it.
"Where? All you do is lay around and follow orders." Ravens remark made Margaret stop in her place, her eyes darkening and her jaw clenching. Who does this girl think she's talking to? Going to walk away once again, Raven grabbed her wrist but was quickly shoved into the metal wall behind her with a hell of a lot of force from the Kane.
"I don't follow orders, especially not from you... You're just a mechanic." Both girls stared wide eyed at one another, both rather shocked at the sudden outburst. Their faces were close and were both unsure of who will make the next move. It was Margaret, she turned once again and exited the drop ship, not looking back for a second, her cheeks were blushed and her hands had subconsciously curled into fists. It's going to be a long day.

Merely a day after she had vanished, Octavia had been found and safely returned to camp but unfortunately, Finn had been stabbed by the grounder who took her in the process. The delinquents were all now gathered in the drop ships, aside from Bellamy and a few others, as a result of a chaotic storm. Most of the tents had already been destroyed along with parts of the wall, and Margaret could only imagine how much worse it was going to look after the storm had blown over.
Raven was rushing to build the radio, in hopes of contacting the Ark to save Finn and the Kane just stood and observed the mess unfolding in front of her. Some delinquents were desperately trying to salvage the tarp they had used for a door whilst the mechanic repeated that same desperate "This is Raven Reyes. Calling Ark Station. Come in Ark Station" chant.
Growing sick of her pleas Margaret plainly asked "Are you sure you have the right frequency?" To which Raven forcefully snapped "Yeah, I'm sure" still understandably rather angry at the girl before her.
Time had passed and Margaret could barely breath. The amount of teenagers huddled up in the small space was almost enough to convince her into running into the storm. That was before a reply from Raven's radio grabbed everybody's attention, shutting them up.
"This is a restricted station. Who is this? Please identify yourself." The male voice questioned, rather startled. "This is Raven Reyes. I- I'm from Mecha Station. I'm transmitting from the ground. The hundred are alive. Please, you need to get Doctor Abby Griffin. Doctor Abby Griffin. Now." Margaret watched on, not too sure what to think.
