↳ chapter 11

"And... go!"

A hoard of people pushed past one another to get through the small tunnel. I grimaced at the close proximity of all of us, huddled together. I couldn't focus on my powers in this kind of situation. I saw the ground freeze beneath everyone, causing me to jump when the ice neared me, not wanting to get stuck. I pushed past everyone, slipping and sliding on the way. Now that people weren't pushing me anymore, I could finally use my powers. I focused on getting to where Todoroki was since he had literally left us all in the dust. When I teleported there, I saw the 0 point robot from the entrance exam.

NOT TODAY SATAN!

I teleported behind the robot, running for my life. I couldn't teleport all the way to the end if I didn't know where the end was. So, I just teleported to the end of my vision.

And then I fell off a cliff.

How did this happen? Well, apparently the end of my vision was a cliff. This was great. Just great. I teleported back on top of the cliff. There were a bunch of tightropes that we were supposed to cross. It wouldn't hurt to try walking across it, right?

Besides, it's seemed fun. So fun.

I cautiously walked across the thin rope. I wanted to not only win but also have fun. Besides, I was good at this kind of thing. I balanced on the rope with ease. Maybe I should consider being a circus performer. Having q boost of confidence, I ran across the rope, laughing like a maniac. Once I gained momentum, it was easy. I was halfway through when a bunch of people started catching up. Not to mention that icythot was literally on my tail. I sighed. Now I would have to teleport again in order to keep my position. I closed my eyes, and in that split second I fell off the rope, I teleported to the next course.

A minefield. What kind of obstacle course was this? If I squinted, I could barely see the end. I giggled like a psychopath. Maybe I should practice controlling my laughter. I leaped over the mines with the grace of a ballerina. I mean technically, the grace of an ex-ballerina since I quit my ballet lessons.

"Take that Icythot!" I screamed, pumping my fist into the air.

And before I knew it, Bakugo was propelling himself towards me. I screeched in fear. If he touched me and I teleported to the finish, then everything would be all for nothing. I continuously swerved and dodged the blonde boy, muttering curse words under my breath.

"Oh my fucking God, I'm screwed, " I murmured.

  I couldn't concentrate on the situation, so my best bet was to run. I bolted past all the mines, but my running was no match for Bakugo. Finally, when he passed me, I could concentrate. I focused all my attention on the finish line and teleported there. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. In those few seconds, Midoriya came out of nowhere and literally flew through the tunnel.

"What the fu-, " I gaped.

"Midoriya Izuku comes in first, with Yumé Sakura following closely behind!" Present Mic announced from him room.

  Damn it, I shouldn't have been so cocky. I glared holes into Midoriya, and when he turned around to look at me, I slowly dragged my thumb across my neck. Now I knew why boys fought about this kind of thing.

This is war, Midoriya.

  When Midnight announced that we would be doing a cavalry battle, I was thrilled. This was finally my chance to obliterate Midoriya into pieces. Well, not so much to kill him, but for him to lose his self-esteem. Why was I so hostile? Perhaps it was because I overestimated myself and wanted to take back my title. As soon as we started picking teams, I headed towards Todoroki. Yes, Todoroki, the peppermint boy who I referred to as icythot.

"I think it would be mutually beneficial if we joined teams. We know the aspects of each other's quirks very well, " I said to the peppermint head, who instantly agreed.

  Both of us wanted to do well and take down Midoriya. Yaoyorozu and Kaminari joined our team, and we began strategizing.

"Okay, so we are most definitely going after Midoriya, " I decided.

"But why? You and Todoroki-Kun teaming up would already give us an advantage in points since you guys came second and third, " Yaoyorozu asked.

"I want to eradicate Midoriya from existence, "

  The sweet and bubbly girl that they all knew was gone. What was left was the cruel and wicked side of me. I grinned maliciously at the thought of utterly destroying Midoriya, causing my teammates to shiver in fear. Todoroki gave us our positions, and we would be carrying him so that he would be on offense.

"You'll be using your fire and ice powers to attack, right?" Kaminari asked, making weird gestures.

"I will never use my fire in combat, " he immediately replied, glaring at the audience. I turned to look at where he was glaring. I let out a soft gasp when he was looking at his father in the eyes. So that was why. He must have had a traumatic childhood if he hated his father.

  I looked at Team Midoriya, which consisted of Midoriya, Ochaco, Tokayami, and a random pink-haired girl from the support department.

"The cavalry battle will begin soon, " Midnight announces.

  I look at my team and immediately tell them the plan on my mind. Tokoyami's 'dark shadow' was called a dark shadow for a reason. Perhaps it's weakness was light? I wasn't too sure, but it wouldn't hurt to try. I whispered the plan to my teammates, who nodded and also added their thoughts. We also devised a plan on using Kaminari's electricity even though he couldn't control it. I sighed in relief. We would be fine. No wait, we wouldn't just be fine.

We would win.
