I looked down at the clock on my phone. 11:50, I still had time to walk there. I slowed my pace, walking to the cherry blossom tree. Now that I thought about it, this was really idiotic of me. I was leaving the dorm after curfew, which definitely wasn't allowed, just to hear someone's confession, which I hoped was Shoto's. Yeah, that was really dumb of me. Yet, my feet dragged me to the forest. It seemed a little suspicious that I had to meet the unknown person in the middle of the forest, aka the middle of nowhere. At the same time, the person didn't even leave their initials. I shrugged it off. Besides, if the girls gave the okay sign, that means that it was safe and that they knew what was going on. I relaxed, walking there.
I pushed past the bushes. It was around a 5-minute walk from the dorm, so I would reach with 5 minutes to spare. My thoughts clouded my head. What was the chance that this was Shoto? Close to 0. So why was I going? Because I'm a desperate girl. Yep, that made sense. A sweet fragrance filled my nostrils. I was here.
I looked at the beautiful pink tree that was buried in the middle of the forest. The pink flowers on the tree swayed in the night breeze. Moonlight flooded in, hitting just the right spot, on the cherry blossom tree. Under the glorious sight, there was a figure standing there, his back facing me. My breath hitched as I saw the familiar red and white-headed boy standing there. No way... I slowly strode towards him. It was Shoto? My feet trod lightly, crunching against the grass.
"Shoto, it was you?"
He turned around, a cheeky grin on his face. I couldn't believe it. He wrote that letter? It didn't feel right. There was no way that he liked me. I let out a shaky breath. This... my dream came true.
"Sakura, I supposed you received my letter, "
I covered my mouth with my hands in shock. He was actually here, right in front of me. And he wrote that letter. I nodded hesitantly. I had to be dreaming, but it felt too real to be a dream. Something nagged at the back of my head that something was wrong, but I shrugged it off.
"Yeah, " I croaked.
"Yumé Sakura. I like the way you talk, the way you smile. I like everything about you. I like you, "
"I... I like you too, " I blurted out, the words feeling foreign on my tongue.
Shoto closed the gap in between us, grazing his thumb under my chin, lifting my head up, and kissing me. He pressed his lips against me hungrily. It... It didn't feel right. It felt wrong. Just then, I felt a sharp pain on my arm. My vision started feeling foggy. I back away from him. This wasn't Shoto. I tried to teleport out of there, but my powers didn't seem to be working.
Shoto, or whoever it was, stood there with a malicious grin. My eyes widened. This definitely wasn't Shoto. At this moment, the person in from on me started melting, morphing into a different person. I stumbled backward, tripping and falling onto my butt. In front of me, stood that blonde girl from the League of Villains. Toga. She giggled, a needle in hand.
"Hiya Sakura-chan! I'm going to call you that, " she giggled maniacally.
"It's so sweet, how you love Shoto. It's too bad that you won't be able to see him again, "
No, no! I had to escape. I screamed for help, only for Toga to inch closer to me.
"Now, you wouldn't want something unfortunate to happen to you, right? Come with me and I promise I won't torture you as much, "
I looked at her dubiously. Nope, I was out of there. I pulled myself up and scampered, screaming for help along the way. I had just gone and fucked up, hadn't I? I heard Toga giggle behind me, running after me. I was fucked.
"HEEEEELLLLLLLPPP!"
"Sakura! Come back here! I just want to play! How about a little stab?"
She seemed tired of chasing me. Suddenly, she stopped and pressed her something in her ear. As I ran, I spotted the actual red and white-haired boy running towards me. I sighed in relief under my breath.
"Shoto!"
I was safe. Finally. I ran into his arm, hugging him tight and not letting go. The effects of the drug were still taking place, but I couldn't care less. I sobbed into his chest, as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Why were you here? You had me worried sick. The girls asked me why I was still here, and I figured out that something was wrong, " he said.
"I- I-, " I hiccuped.
I nearly got kidnapped. Again. And I also had my feelings played with. Suddenly, a portal opened up behind me, Toga stepping out, kicking Shoto away. Without any time to react, he stumbled backward. Toga had a serious look on her face, pulling my struggling self into the portal.
"Shoto! No!" I screeched.
We had all let down our guard. None of us expected a villain attack. The security was supposed to be tighter, yet the villains somehow snuck in. At the same time, it was I who recklessly snuck out to meet this secret admirer of mine. Wait, if the villains couldn't enter our dorms, then there had to be a traitor among our midst. My eyes widened. Shoto was coughing, but he ran headfirst to the portal. Toga sighed, throwing a knife into his hamstring. She dragged me through the portal.
"Shoto, there's a traitor among our class! Find the-"
"I'm going to have so much fun with you, Sakura, " Toga said, putting a hand over my mouth.
I struggled against Toga, but she put a knife to my throat. With the effects of the drug she injected into me, I was practically useless. I stretched out my hand to Shoto one final time, before disappearing into the dark purple portal.
Goodbye, Shoto.
