My satchel was slung around my body, my luggage being hauled along with me. Tenya and I were both heading to Hosu City for our internship, but I had a feeling that the reason for our choices we're not the same. I wasn't stupid. When he told me that his brother was alright, I was skeptical. I further researched on the topic, and apparently, Ingenium, Tenya's older brother, was attacked by the Hero Killer in Hosu City.
The Hero Killer. The mysterious man who killed pro heroes was bestowed that title. Now that I thought about it, Hawks probably wanted me in Hosu City because of the Hero Killer. I would have to keep a close eye on Tenya to make sure he wouldn't run headfirst into battle for revenge.
Aizawa-sensei finally let us go, Tenya and I heading right, while Izuku and Ochaco headed in the opposite direction. I waved at my friends, walking off in the opposite direction. I had to keep a close eye on Tenya and make sure he didn't do anything reckless, but it would be hard to keep him under my watch 24/7. I groaned under my breath. This would be a long 1 week.

I hauled my baggage out of the train. Having lost Tenya, I decided to go to find Hawks instead of going after Tenya. I mean, that's what we were supposed to do, right? I dragged my baggage along, occasionally looking down at my phone to see the address. Finally, after a 10-minute walk, I reached a huge building. I walked into the reception, asking for directions. Finally, I reached the office that I was supposed to meet Hawks in.
I took a deep breath, before knocking the door lightly. A heard a faint 'come in', before opening the door and greeting the winged man who had his feet thrown on the desk and his arms crossed. A contagious, playful smile tugged across his face.
"You're Hawks! The number 3 hero!" I exclaimed, still in shock that I was meeting him face to face.
"Yep, that's me. You're Yumé Sakura from the Sports Festival, right?" he said, kicking his legs off of the table, his lazy smirk plastered across his face.
"Yeah. It's a pleasure to be working with you, Mr. Hawks, " I bowed.
"No need to be formal, just call me Hawks, " he chuckled, ruffling my hair like I was a child.
I liked the fact that Hawks was being so nice, yet informal. That's why I chose the winged hero. I looked up at the man in adoration, who simply, told me to put on my hero outfit and meet outside. I had never, and I say never, ever put on my hero costume before. Not even in the heroes vs villains training that All Might made us go through. So why was I wearing it now? It was kind of compulsory, so I had to. I walked into the toilet stall, pulling my shirt and my pants off and changing into my hero costume.
I went out and looked into the mirror. I wore a light blue shirt and black shorts, a denim vest that hugged my torso, trailing all the way down to my black boots. I stretched out my hands, which were covered to my elbow with black gloves, my fingertips bare. The gloves and the boots were lined with intricate gold details, and the belt around my waist had small pockets, and I kept a dagger hidden in my boot.
Damn, I look cool.
I stepped out of the changing room, running back to where I was supposed to meet Hawks. I probably took too long to change, and I don't want to make Hawks worry about his temporary assistant, or as I would call myself, extra baggage. I walked outside the building to meet Hawks, who was already waiting outside.
"Alright, let's go. We're going to do patrolling first, and then if we still have time, I'll teach you some cool tricks, " he winked, flying up into the air.
To keep up, I had to teleport and jump from building to building, running after the winged hero. My eyes scanned the city from above for criminal activities, my eyes stopping on a small alleyway where a guy was being held at knifepoint for his money. I whistled to the flying Hawks, gestured an okay sign. All I did was watch from afar, since Hawk's quirk was more suitable for the situation. I marveled at the sight of one of his red feathers flying out at the man holding the knife, pinning him against the wall.
Despite the hero's laid back attitude, I heard that he trained endlessly to maximize the techniques in which he uses his wings, refining his rescue and support combat abilities. I swooned when I saw him actually using his quirk in action. I guess I could say I was a huge Hawks fan.
For the rest of the day, we circled around the city, settling crimes from the sky. Doing these kinds of heroic deeds made me wish that the rest of my stay in Hosu City would be like this.
But what can I say? Beggars can't be choosers.

"Hawks, you promised you would train me after patrolling, " I said, walking alongside the winged man.
He chuckled at my childlike attitude, patting my head while taking a sip of his coffee. He put down his coffee, coffee staining his lips. Today had been a long day, and no doubt was Hawks tired. Yet, I pestered him in the hope of learning something from the hero.
"Yeah, yeah... Sure. Let's go back to my apartment first, " he replied.
I was dragging my luggage along with me, since we had just finished patrolling and I went to get my bags from the office. We were heading back to Hawk's apartment, where I would be staying temporarily. Once we reached, he showed me to the guest room.
"Sweet dreams kiddo, " he greeted, closing the mahogany door behind him.
If I was being honest, I liked working under Hawks.
