Height Doesn't Matter

As Cady pulled her red sparkly heels on, she heard her girlfriend sigh. "What?" She asked. "Does it not match?" It was their one month anniversary and they were going out for dinner.

Janis looked up at her, studying her entire look. "You look gorgeous. As always. But," she stood up, standing next to Cady and they turned to look in the mirror. "you're almost as tall as me. Which is not okay."

As Cady stared at their reflection, she genuinely couldn't believe Janis just said that. "Jai, really? You could wear heels too, I have some that would match your dress if you want to be taller."

Janis looked down at her shoes. She had no regret when putting on her converse, and still didn't. "No, thank you. But you need to wear flats. Please?" She begged, wrapping her arm around Cady's waist.

Not wanting to upset Janis on their anniversary, Cady took off her heels to exchange them for something new, when she blurted out, "Height doesn't matter. You know that, right?"

Janis whipped her head around so fast. "Yes, yes it does." She said, very seriously.

"I don't understand why." Cady pouted. "I thought I looked cute!"

"My god, Caddie. You did!" Janis said, getting fed up with the conversation. "But you can't wear heels."

"Why?" Cady asked, still looking for some new shoes to wear that 'weren't heels'.

"Because I wouldn't be able to do this." And Janis grabbed Cady and threw her on the bed, leaning in. "If you were nearly as tall as me, this wouldn't work as well." And she kissed her.

It was rough. Not a horrible rough, but it was certainly steamy and Cady was frozen in shock. Janis definitely did not make out with her often, only when she was in that kind of mood.

Janis picked her up, still kissing her and Cady wrapped her legs around her girlfriend. The kiss was long and hard, and very enjoyable for the two girls.

Janis lowered Cady to the ground, and pushed her gently up against the door. She kissed her jawline, down to her neck, down to her collarbone. If she were any taller, it wouldn't feel right to Janis.

She left dark red spots dotted on Cady, who began to moan with the intense feeling Janis was leaving behind on her skin.

She began to slow down, coming back up to her lips, planting a soft, slow kiss before pulling away, out of breath.

"You know what," Cady whispered, staring into Janis's eyes. "Height definitely does matter."

Janis smiled and kissed her on the cheek before disappearing into the closet, where she returned with a shoe box.

"What's this?" Cady asked, her eyes lighting up.

"Happy anniversary, Caddie." Janis smiled, opening the box to reveal a beautiful pair of flats that had been hand painted with beautiful roses, the same colour of lipstick Janis would always wear. The dark shade of plum was so vibrant, Cady felt like crying.

"Did you-?" Cady couldn't speak. She was in awe.

"Paint them? Yep, just for you. I was hoping you could wear them tonight."

Cady gasped and stared at them a little longer before grabbing Janis's neck and pulling her in for one more kiss.

"I love them. Thank you." She breathed out, still in shock.

"Only for you, my love." Janis smiled and embraced her. "Oh, and by the way?"

Cady looked into her eyes, ready for whatever question she was about to hear because Janis could make any question feel like the key to heaven. "Yeah?"

"You're doing what I did to you tomorrow."

"I can make that happen."
