The next morning, Ingrid got up early. Henry, not needing sleep, kept watch by the fireplace. He greeted her as she entered the parlor. "I'm taking Kyle to the castle."

"Alone? Are you out of your mind? Even though you're a hybrid, you can still get killed and—Kyle..." Her voice lowered into a whisper, "There's a chance ... he won't make it," Ingrid said anxiously.

"I can't just stand by and do nothing. He's a knight. He must be important."

Ingrid sighed. "Well, if you're going, I'm coming with you."

Henry tilted his head with his brows raised. "You said it yourself. It's a perilous journey,"

"All the more reason for me to come, I'll keep an eye on Kyle's condition."

"but..."

Ingrid started packing her essentials before Henry could continue. He then helped his sister.

Shortly after, Kyle arose from his sleep in a panic. Ingrid quickly tended to him. "Are you alright?"

"I – I had a dream-" He closed his eyes, trying to remember. "-I'm walking away from a training camp, and there was this farmhouse..." He paused.

"Anything else you remember?" asked Henry.

"Nothing else that helps."

"We have to get you to a more powerful sorcerer. I can't break the spell that's caused you to lose your memories," said Ingrid.

Kyle scanned the room and looked at the packed bags. "So, where are we going now?"

"We need to get you to the North Castle-an Elite Knight castle. The people there will know what to do. Can you manage?" said Ingrid.

Sluggishly, Kyle nodded.

Henry tossed him some clothes. "Get yourself ready." Then continued packing.

Ingrid gave Kyle a bottle. "Drink every time you feel weak. It's the same as the one last night, but don't drink it all at once."

Kyle thanked her and placed it in his pack.

Henry came near with weapons in hand, a dagger for Ingrid and a long sword for Kyle.

"Uhm, Henry–I don't know how to use this."

"Well, if we run into any trouble, we'll need to defend ourselves."

"This is still all surreal to me, but—that makes sense," answered Kyle while staring at the sword. He measured its weight in his hand. It made him feel at ease.

Henry had one too, but his looked bulkier. The metal glinted at the touch of sunlight. They all put on gear and armor and start moving. They each carried a bag.
