Kyle woke up the next morning, giddy, the world still slightly moving in his eyes. The sorcerer was in the room mixing potions by his cauldron. He noticed Kyle struggling to sit up. He took a seat and placed it beside Kyle's bed.
"Good morning, my name's Alistair. I am the castle healer and high sorcerer. Here, have some water." He filled up a cup for him. "Can you tell me your name?"
"I'm Kyle Serian," replied Kyle before chugging the water.
The sorcerer nodded and called out to the guard at the door. "Let our guests know he's awake."
"Help yourself to some bread" -Alistair motioned to the plate by the bedside table-"your friend Ingrid tells me you've lost your memories".
Kyle snagged the loaf on the plate, famished from his twelve-hour rest. "I can't remember anything past the last month." He took a bite of the loaf and continued after chewing: "but every time I sleep or pass out I get glimpses of this world." Kyle placed his hands on his head, there was a strain in his eyes.
Alastair remained seated on his chair with his eyebrow crooked.
Ingrid and Henry arrived shortly.
Alistair stepped aside. "I'll give you three time to catch up," said he before pacing out the door.
Ingrid hurried to embrace Kyle. He hesitated, his mouth still filled with food, swallowed then pulled her close. Henry joined in the hug.
"I'm so glad you're alive, I thought the worst had happened." Ingrid backed away and sat on the chair.
"I'm fine – I think – thanks to the both of you." Henry sat next to Kyle on the bed.
"Listen, Kyle, do you know why we brought you here?" asked Ingrid.
"To save my life?" Kyle replied while eating bread.
"Not just that — you really are a knight Kyle, an Elite Knight."
Just then Kyle remembered his dream, his eyes widened. "I do remember something, it was just last night — in a dream —" He got up and started walking towards the door not knowing he was slowly falling to one side, Henry held him up. "Okay you still aren't fully recovered, take it easy."
He glanced out the door "This is the place."
Henry placed Kyle's arm over his shoulders.
"I was here, this walkway, I was standing there and there were other knights one of them was named – Brum and there was a girl — wearing a white dress, she was exceptionally pale ... I think she's the one who saved me ... I forgot to mention that by the way,"
