Barely breathing, Kyle lay limp on Henry's shoulder. "Help! — Help me please!!". The knight on guard looks down at him "Please!" cried out Henry. The knight signaled them to open the gates. They immediately recognized Kyle.

"Get the sorcerer." shouted one knight.

They took Kyle into the castle. The knight on guard is about to close the gate.

"Wait I have to get my sister" pleaded Henry.

The knight in front of him ignored his plea and questioned "How did you find him?"

"I'll be happy to answer all of your questions but you have to let me get my sister," replied Henry.

The knight scowled "Where is she?".

"At the clearing, by now at the edge of the forest," responded Henry.

"Be quick." commanded the knight.

Henry ran out of the castle just until he was out of the view of the knights. He took a step forward and as swift as a gust of wind he was gone. Dusk was nearing. He stopped in front of his sister, startling her.

She squealed nearly blasting him with a conjured flame.

"Oh thank goodness you're alright" Henry sighed in relief, as he hugged her.

Her fury melted away, "You made it, what about Kyle?" asked Ingrid

"I wasn't able to check on him I came for you as soon as I could."

They quickly made their way back to the castle and waited a while to avoid any suspicion on their speedy travels.

The knight from earlier questioned Henry again "You owe me answers boy, how did you find him?". Ingrid is vexed.

"Don't worry I'll handle this" put in Henry.

"I met him in the Mundane world, I saw his mark, the Elite Knight mark, and brought him here ... He seemed important."

The knight gave them a stern look "Brum— find them lodgings to stay in." he ordered a younger knight.

The sorcerer placed his hands over Kyle and recited a few enchantments "argtum santuh dant hes, argtum santuh dant hes". Kyle's condition slowly got better.

Ingrid and Henry were allowed in to see him.

"Do you know him?" questioned the sorcerer.

"Yes," replied the two.

"How did he get poisoned?" His voice low and shaky which showed his age.

Ingrid was about to answer but Henry responded quicker, "He never actually said anything about how he got bitten, he came to me in the Mundane world, testing out a cure or drug on vampires."

The sorcerer raised his brows "Vampires?"

Ingrid elbowed Henry in the ribs.

"He doesn't remember anything about his past. He bears the mark of the Elite Knights but doesn't remember anything from our world, I think something happened to him, maybe he was cursed," Henry answered right away.

He seemed to want to ask more questions about the vampires but instead responded with "We should let him rest for now. If you hadn't brought him here when you did, he'd be dead".

They're all about to leave the room when the sorcerer approached Henry. "How are you, Henry?" said he as they continued walking.

"Fine," Henry replied cautiously.

"I knew your father and I'm sorry about what happened to you and your mother. I remember you from the trials."

Henry stopped walking and looked at the sorcerer with great concern.

"You can stay as long as you like, I hope you've found your lodgings."

Henry nodded and glanced at Ingrid. She was as baffled as he was.

"I'll let you know when Kyle is awake, I think it's best he wakes up to familiar faces." The sorcerer walked away. Henry and Ingrid head to their rooms.

At the Messenger's tower, the sorcerer spoke to the Raven Master, "Send word to Owen the Dragonslayer, his son is alive but has lost his memories. He is recovering from a bite of a dark creature."

The cloaked man bowed. "Right away, my lord."

Walking to their quarters Henry worriedly asked Ingrid, "He knows who we are." He glanced at the other guards, checking if they were listening.

"Well he knew father and it's not like you were banished from this castle, you were only let go from the training because of ..." Ingrid pauses for thought.

"You're right, I'm sorry, I'm being paranoid," said Henry apologetically.

Resting in the medic room, Kyle has another flashback. He's in the castle wearing his elite knight armor, awaiting one of the knights.

"There he is, there's the chosen one."

"Oh shut up Brum," snapped Kyle.

They are standing by a doorway near an arched staircase. Kyle looked over at the opposite staircase. They were on the second floor. Peeping down below you could see a statue of an Elite Knight in full armor with a crown upon its head.

He saw a girl in a layered dress, her ruffled sleeves swayed with the wind. Her hair covered most of her face, her skin was fairer than most, a White Fairy. She caught his glance. His fellow knights were walking away and called for him to follow. He took one last look at her and went with the other knights.
