Your pov
Life as a soc was great for sure. You had money, friends, popularity, even a boyfriend.
Sort of.
As closest to boyfriend as he could be, anyways. You see, you're a very high class soc. Sure, you're very grateful for everything, but life got boring one day. You were out with my friends at a party one night. You wore the tightest dress you had. You danced to whatever songs happened to be playing without a care. You got tired, so you took a rest at the bar and ordered a drink. Not long after, a tall man who vaguely smelled of cigarettes plopped down next to you. You glanced at him quickly, taking in his features. His greasy brown hair, deep, dark eyes, tattered clothing- everything about him screamed bad news, but your curiosity got the best of you.
You stayed in your place, and you felt his eyes on you.
"Wouldn't peg you as a bar type."
He said plainly. You turned to face him. You could barely make out the details of his face in the dim bar lighting, but he was still attractive nonetheless.
"We all have to try new things sometimes, right?"
"Won't your daddy be upset about the smell of alcohol on your new dress he bought you?"
"Oh ha ha,"
You say sarcastically, rolling your eyes.
"What's your name, stranger."
"Dallas Winston."
"I know about you. Everyone says you're no good."
"Well, they'd be right about that."
Your drink arrived and you reached for your bag to pay the bartender, but Dallas stopped you.
"I'll pay for her drink. Can I get a beer?"
The bartender nodded and passed Dallas his drink.
"Shoot, you didn't have to do that."
"Well, I ain't an asshole to pretty girls like you."
You smiled and took a sip of your drink.
After that night, you and Dal had been seeing each other in secret. You both agreed it would be the best, since it would keep you both out of trouble for the most part. If you ever saw each other in public, you'd just exchange flirty glances and winks here and there, but you'd never interact. You'd also have to deal with greaser girls flirting with Dallas, but he'd always turn them down. You'd do the same with other soc's, just simply stating that you weren't interested.
Today was one of your weekly rendezevous, you were meeting Dal in town for a movie and lunch. He arrived at your house and knocked on your door.
"Coming Dal!"
You ran down the stairs, desperately trying to put your sweater on. You swung open the door to reveal a smug Dallas, hands in pockets.
"Hey beautiful,"
he greeted. You beamed at your nickname.
"You ready?"
"Yes."
You stepped out of the house and Dallas slung an arm around you. What surprised you about Dallas is the fact he is a gentleman when the occasion called for it. Despite his mischievous ways of getting there, his intentions with you were most of the time good. He opened doors for you, offered his jacket if you were cold, and always wanted you to feel safe with him.
