Hi guys, I know there aren't many people reading this but I still feel obligated to use this platform to promote what is right.

Police brutality is at a higher rate than ever, and the government and our oompa loompa of a president is trying to cover up the racist activity clearly going on in America. It took all 50 states for the court to sentence the 4 officers who killed George Floyd charged with second degree murder, and that was only over a course of a week. We have to keep fighting.

Are you white? Me too. Here's what we can do to help:

Repost helpful information on your social media platforms

Sign petitions regarding police brutality, acab, any of the people we lost due to police brutality, and other causes like these. There's one in my instagram bio (please go sign it - @ juliakbond)

donate as much money as you can to organizations that support Black Lives Matter (I donated through my parents money cuz yah bitch is broke)

If your state is holding a protest, go to it. Even if you're scared, even if you're parents are scared, go. The more people that stand with us against the police the better.

Educate yourself on the BLM movement and respectfully inform others if they say something incorrect. Learn the political science terms and help educate others.

Have the conversation with your parent/guardian, yes it will be awkward but it needs to be had.

Here is my personal experience with the police from a protest I attended recently:

I went to a protest in New Haven CT and the cops were mostly ok since we were being peaceful. No one was throwing anything, we were walking and waving our signs around. Well, the police all lined up at one end of the street and started pushing through us. My friends and I started to run away to avoid getting hurt, but I have terrible asthma and it got the point where I was having an attack. Me and one other friend quickly ran to the sidewalk and search through my bag for it, but we were stopped by two police officers who demanded to search through my bag. My friend told them to wait one second so I could use my inhaler, but the cops took the bag out of my hands and would not give it back. She kept politely asking for it, the cops disregarding my breathing, and they wouldn't hand it over. If you don't have asthma, the feeling is similar to (but not exactly like) being choked in the sense you can't get air to fill your lungs and that hand won't move no matter how much you try to fight it. I was panicking because I've never had an attack for this long, which only caused my breathing to get worse, and I could literally feel myself losing consciousness. While I was breathing like an accordion, the officer not holding my bag said "her face is turning blue" and I made direct eye contact with the one holding my bag and then he threw it to the ground and walked away. Finally I took my inhaler and my breathing was becoming stable. The other officer told us to call our parents to come get us and offered me some of his water, and I accepted it because I really needed it (I did the waterfall thing so my lips didnt touch it, covid-19 is still real). He waited with us for a little while and then left before my mom came and got us.

This story does show "not all cops are bad" but I do have another opinion on that too. Sure, not all cops are bad, but that's only outside of their job. The cop that stayed with me did what he did because he was alone and away from other officers. I highly doubt he would have done that if he was with the other cops. However, the term ACAB (all cops are bastards) refers to cops working for a bastardized system (the government), they do. It makes me sad that this probably nice man works for such a bad organization.

Anyways, sorry to ramble on. All content for me has been put on hold for this, unless it is to promote the movement. Thank you all for your time and I hope I see you again real soon.

Julia💕
