lev was, unfortunately, a very forgetful person and sometimes that was troublesome to those around him especially when he became intensely focused on something. all else but what he was focusing on seems to have ceased existence and that’s all he could think about. some days, he’ll bashfully admit, he’s gone a day without eating because he wanted to solve a wooden puzzle gifted to him by an old lady he passed by while walking home. however, lev was very fortunate to have people around him who cared enough to give him little reminders to break him out of his trance like states. 

you, for example, liked to send him cute little text messages with reminders to take breaks and/or eat something which usually works as he’s set his text tone for you to something that will most definitely catch his attention. it was a small voice recording you agreed to record for him saying ‘lev! you’ve got a text message!’ which he finds the cutest thing ever. 

as soon as he heard your voice calling out for him and telling him you had left a message, his attention was taken from the screen of his laptop that was playing volleyball tournaments he was trying to study. without even missing a beat, he had turned and took his phone with a wide smile.
