**Look at that, I typed out a whole chapter in a single day!! Whaaaaat?! Anyway, hope you like it!!
"Natty Light, if you don't stop pacing like a maniac, I'm gonna pull a Tonya Harding. Sit down and chill the hell out," Garrett groaned from his spot in his favorite chair.
I turned and glared at him, hands on my hips. "You've got a lot of nerve trying to boss around a pregnant chick."
Ellis laughed from where he was seated on the floor in front of Garrett. "You tell him, Natalie."
I smiled at Ellis and quirked an eyebrow at Garrett. "See? Shut your mouth."
Garrett looked at Goose, who was sitting on Ugly Couch, where I had been until I needed to get up and move. "Sutton, you're just gonna sit there and let your not girlfriend sass me like that?"
I fumed silently, shooting daggers at Garrett with my eyes, while Sutton merely chuckled. "Dude, when has it ever been a good idea to tell Nat what to do?"
"That's true," Ellis murmured. "If Sut could boss Natalie around, they'd be dating by now." Garrett laughed loudly and Ellis gave me a sheepish look. "Sorry, Nat."
I didn't say anything as I walked to the kitchen to refill my water bottle before I had to leave. As I was tightening the cap back on it, I felt a pair of arms snake around my waist, hands resting gently on my bump, and a kiss was pressed to the side of my head. "Hi, Goose," I sighed, leaning my head back against his shoulder.
"Don't let them get to you, Nat," he said earnestly.
I turned in his grasp so I was facing him. "I'm just tired of all their jokes. It's not like I don't want to be with you, I just," I sighed heavily. "You already know. We've talked about this so many times. I'm so sorry."
Sutton smiled my favorite crooked smile and shook his head. "Nat, stop beating yourself up. I've told you fifty thousand times that I understand you not wanting to push a relationship right now. I can't even begin to imagine what it's like to grow your very own human inside of yourself," he shuddered. "But I told you, I'm ready whenever you are. We can do whatever we want to do on our own timeline, fuck what anyone else has to say. Especially Garrett and Ellis," he said pointedly.
I snorted. "I still say we should tell them we saw them kissing."
"They'll tell us when they're ready to," he shrugged. "Don't worry about any timeline other than your own."
I made a face. "Okay, Dad, thanks."
Sutton laughed and kissed my forehead. "Why were you pacing, though? Are you anxious?"
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Goose, I'm fucking always anxious when it comes to baby appointments. Even though everything is going fine, I still worry that I'm gonna go into the next appointment and there's gonna be an issue."
"High blood pressure will be if you don't stop worrying about every little thing, Nat." He wrapped me in a tight hug. "Doctor Flores will tell you if something is amiss; until then, just try and focus on the fact that everything is fine."
I pulled away from his hug and grabbed an apple out of the fruit bowl, rinsing it in the sink. "I just feel like everything is going very smoothly, and nothing ever goes smoothly for me, so," I shrugged, taking a large bite of the apple. Just then, the doorbell sounded, and I looked at the time. "That should be Louis. Gare, can you let him in?" I spoke loudly so Garrett would hear me. I grinned when I heard his footsteps headed in the direction of the front door.
"Hey, man," Garrett's voice came through the house. "She's in the kitchen. How was your flight?" Louis had flown in yesterday so he would be able to make the appointment we had today, where we would hopefully discover the sex of our baby. We scheduled the appointment hoping that nothing too important came up for Louis or the rest of One Direction so that he would be able to fly out for a day or two.
