***Alright, so I didn't get this posted as soon as I had hoped, because I couldn't seem to get it right. But I'm pleased with it so here it is!! A cute Nat and Goose chapter! I called them Noose in my head the other day and it gave me a really good chuckle. Anyway, enjoy! xx
As soon as Rick and I arrived at the hotel, I made a beeline for the elevators while Rick checked in. Sutton had booked a room for he and I, and was waiting in it for me—Rick was getting his own separate room so he could be on hand if I needed him. But my main focus was getting to room 1117. It felt like my body was vibrating as the elevator began to move. Once the doors opened, I studied the placard on the wall to see which way I needed to head to find the room. As many hotels as I'd stayed in over the years, I always had trouble finding my room the first time. I heard a door open and looked down the hall to see a familiar head of curly hair peer out of a room. I let out a happy gasp and took off down the hall, running straight into Sutton's open arms. He picked me up in a hug and spun around several times before setting me down. His lips were on mine before my feet were fully on the ground.
He pulled away after a couple of seconds and reached down to grab my hand. "Fuck, I missed you."
I blinked to clear my teary eyes as he reopened the door to the room. "I almost can't believe I'm finally here," I said breathily as I followed him into the room.
"Are you hungry?" He asked, sitting on the bed and pulling me into his lap.
I shook my head. "No."
"Okay. Then in that case, we have a couple of hours before I have to be at the venue. We usually have dinner with the other guys before the show. If you wanna just have food here, we can go there a little later. It's up to you."
"I'm okay with having dinner with them as long as it's fine with them."
"Nat, they are all stoked that they get to see you."
I bit my lip and smiled. "Aw, shucks."
He playfully pushed me to the side and crawled backwards up the bed until he was leaning against the pillows. "Come cuddle me." I slid my shoes off and followed Sutton's lead before curling up against him with my head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead. "How's Levi doing?"
I leaned back to see Sutton's face and kissed the tip of his nose. "Thank you for asking, you don't know how much that means to me, Goose. He's so good. Growing like crazy, and it's like every single day he's doing something new that's like...amazing. He can hold his head up, and he looks at everything and he's always smiling I feel like." I pulled my phone out to show Sutton some recent photos. "Everyone at his doctor's office just adores him. Which I love because it's like, that's my baby. I made him and he's perfect. I'm biased, but he's honestly the best baby." Sutton had a small smile on his face and a look in his eyes I couldn't place. "Was I rambling? I'm sorry. I don't really talk to adults much anymore."
He shook his head. "No, don't apologize. It's just like, I knew that you were going to be an amazing mom, and then now that I'm getting to see it happen, just... I've told you before that you never cease to amaze me." He chuckled. "I didn't mean to make you cry, babe."
I shrugged as he wiped my tears away. "I thought being overly sensitive would go away once the pregnancy hormones did."
"It's sweet." Sutton pressed a soft kiss to my lips. "Remember when you told me Natalie Reed doesn't cry?" He laughed loudly.
I glared at him playfully. "Fuck you."
The smile left his face and he licked his lips, dropping his left eye in a wink. "Later."
