** This chapter took me way too long to decide what I wanted to do with it, aside from the part with Erin. Oh! And if you didn't see my announcement when I posted it, if you have TikTok or instagram and know who Johnathon Caine is, that's basically how I picture Sutton, only my sweet baby Goose has a gap in his teeth. That's all for now, enjoy the chapter. love you! xx

I placed the SUV in park and looked into the rearview mirror, smiling at the sight of my sleeping 5-month-old reflected at me from the mirror attached to his rear-facing car seat. I stepped out of the car into the May sun and threw the diaper bag over my shoulder before going to the back and removing Levi's car seat, trying not to wake him up. Before shutting the doors, I grabbed my iced caramel macchiato from the center console and took a long sip. I had texted Niall that I wanted to surprise Erin with a visit today, as she was now eight months pregnant and on limited bed rest, so I wanted to make her smile, and Niall had loved the idea. True to Niall's texts, the front door was unlocked, so I let myself inside quietly and listened to see if I could hear where Erin was.

Following a rustling sound, I found myself in the kitchen, snorting when I saw Erin on the floor, halfway inside a cupboard. "Casper, what the hell are you doing?"

She flinched at the sound of my voice and backed out of the cupboard, looking up at me defiantly. "Has no one ever told you not to scare a pregnant lady?"

I shrugged before setting my coffee down and holding out a hand to help Erin up. "I'm impatient to meet my nephew." Erin and Niall didn't know the sex of their baby, but she and I were adamant that it was going to be a boy. Niall was dead-set on them having a girl.

She hugged me tightly once she was back on her feet. "Holy shit, I am so happy to see real live humans!" She grabbed the cup I had set on the counter and took several long drags from the straw.

"Uhh... help yourself?" I laughed, grabbing Levi from his car seat; he was now awake and babbling away to himself. I gave him a few quick kisses, earning a squeal of delight.

"Sorry Natty; Niall has taken it upon himself to hide any and all actual coffee from me, and I need it. Fuck half caf."

I chuckled. "I'll trade you a baby for my macchiato." She took Levi from my arms and began loving on him. "You know Ni is just looking out for you," I commented as she gave my coffee back.

Erin gave me a withering look. "He's being annoying! I made him leave for a few hours because he was being an overprotective hen. I needed peace."

"Seems like you just wanted to be able to dig through your cupboards," I joked as I finished my drink, eyebrows raised.

Erin pursed her lips. "I'm gonna pretend you didn't just say that, and we're all gonna go to the living room." Erin and I caught up as she played with Levi. "I can't get over how much he looks like Lou," she said eventually, stopping our catch-up.

I groaned. "I know! Isn't it crazy? He got Louis' face and my chill temperament. I hope tha-"

Erin gasped after Levi laughed at her. "Is that a tooth?"

I smiled and nodded. "Yes! So cute! He's starting to cut another one, though, and I feel so bad when he gets fussy."

"He's getting so big."

"He's gonna crawl soon, I can feel it." I pouted. "It sucks."

Erin laughed. "Well, soon enough I'll be able to commiserate."

Levi chose that moment to reach his arms towards me and let out a whine. I giggled and took him from Erin. "Hi handsome!" I pressed kisses to his belly before standing him on my lap. I smirked at Erin. "Can you imagine where we'd be if his dad had missed me this much when he wasn't with me?"
