***All I have been doing is working and watching Gossip Girl, but here's a chapter. Love you all!

"I'm not doing another take," I moaned as I stepped out of the recording booth, eyeing John Feldmann pointedly. He had volunteered to produce Silent Playground's new album, which we had been recording for about two weeks. As fun as it had been to record with Feldy, he had been making us do multiple takes consistently. "That take was spot on."

Garrett laughed and clapped John's shoulder. "You heard her. Natty Light means business when she takes that tone. I can go lay down the drums." Garrett winked as he strutted past me into the booth.

"That take was spot on, Natty," Feldy said.

"Duh, that's what I told you," I stuck my tongue out. "I'm gonna grab a coffee." I walked out of the room and into the lounge area where Chase was having lunch. "Hey Chay."

"Nat, how did it go?"

"Perfect. Garrett is going now, thank fuck. I need a break before it's guitar o'clock."

"You'll be fine, hon."

I made a face before making my coffee. "Meh." Delia had opted out of rejoining Silent Playground, and it was decided that instead of replacing her, I would simply play guitar for the new songs. I didn't feel as if my guitar playing was up to par, but Garrett and Chase had faith in me, and Sutton was still helping me progress my skills, so I had agreed. "I should really be practicing, cuz this song is hard as fuck."

"Relax and have your coffee, and then you can practice."

"Easy for you to say."

"You know, you're grumpy lately."

I frowned slightly. "I miss my baby. Working again is great but I hate being away from him." I took my phone out of my pocket and opened my message thread with Sutton, who was watching Levi for me. He had been sending photos and updates all day every day, and I loved him so much more for it.

"How is the little dude? I gotta come see him one of these days."

I grinned. "He's super good, super cute, and way too smart for 17 months old. He may be a genius." I tapped out a reply to Sutton. "But as for coming to see him, any day this week after studio time is good for us. This weekend we have a playdate with Erin and Declan, and then Louis is picking Levi up on Sunday for a week, so...this week is it unless you want to wait."

"This week works best for me anyway. Danielle is coming into town this weekend."

"Ah yes, the fiancée," I wiggled my eyebrows. Garrett had let it slip to me that Chase was planning on proposing to Danielle when she came to town next.

Chase grimaced. "Not yet, don't jinx it! I'm never telling Garrett anything again."

I chuckled. "He was just excited. You know he lives vicariously through our love lives."

I nodded. "And gives us no details on his."

Chase grinned conspiratorially. "You didn't hear it from me, but when I got here, he was finishing up a phone call, and it ended with 'I love you.'"

"What?! Who was he talking to?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. He wouldn't tell me; he just got all red-faced and went to find John."

I groaned. "He wanted to arrange a national holiday the first time I told Goose I love him, but now he's loving someone all willy-nilly and not telling me."

Chase laughed. "I'm sure it's not 'willy-nilly.' And I'm sure he's gonna tell you in his own time."

"Alright. Enough gossiping about Gare. Tell me the plan for Danielle!"
