"No!" Levi yelled, flinging a dinosaur across the room. "No go!"

I bit my lip and looked at Louis. "I swear he was excited to go with you, up until you got here."

Louis smiled ruefully and shrugged a shoulder. "Does he throw fits often?"

I shook my head. "No." Truthfully, this was only the second time Levi had thrown a tantrum, and I felt very out of my depth in dealing with it.

"He does it every so often when I have him."

Sutton walked into the room then, stepping on the plastic dinosaur as he did. "Mother of pearl," he groaned, picking the dinosaur up and setting it on the coffee table.

"Mother of pearl?" Louis mouthed to me.

I shrugged. "He doesn't like to swear in front of Levi."

"Oh, nice."

We watched as Sutton walked over to Levi, who was still screaming, and bent to his level. "Levi, when you throw your dinos around, people can step on them, and that really hurts."

Levi stopped screaming and cocked his head at Sutton. "Goose hurt?"

Sutton nodded. "Yeah, buddy. My foot hurts."

Levi looked sad as he wiped a hand over his red, teary face. "I sorry."

"Thank you, Levi. Can we keep our dinosaurs to ourselves from now on?"

Levi nodded.

"Now why are you upset?"

"No go."

"You don't wanna go?"

Levi shook his head. "No."

"Why don't you want to go?"

"Miss Nana."

"You miss Nana?" Sutton shot me a surprised look before turning back to Levi. Nana was what Levi called Norah. My mom was Gamma. When Levi nodded, Sutton gasped like he had an idea. "What if we FaceTime Nana so you can talk to her for a little bit before you go with Daddy?"

Levi nodded.

Sutton looked at Louis. "Would that be okay?"

Louis nodded. "Of course! I'm gonna see what kind of snacks you guys have." He set down Levi's duffel bag and went into the kitchen.

Sutton took his phone out of his pocket and began FaceTiming his mom.

"Sutton, hi!"

"Hey Mom, are you busy?"

"Uh, not really. Is everything okay?"

"Yeah," he grinned. "Levi misses you and would like to talk to you for a little bit before he goes to Louis' house."

"Oh, that is the sweetest thing! I'm definitely not busy; I always have time for my little love."

"Thank you, Mom." Sutton waved Levi over. "Come here Leve, come talk to Nana Norah." Levi settled in on the couch and Sutton passed the phone to him before standing and coming over to me.

I pressed a long kiss to his lips. "I love you so much."

"I love you." He kissed my forehead. "You should've seen Mom's face light up. She loves Levi so much."

"You're so good with him. Lou and I just stood here like fucking walnuts."

Sutton chuckled. "Natalie, I can hear that tone in your voice where you're doubting being a good mom."
