(Y/N)'s POV

He stood extremely close to me, and I didn't quite like the small distance between us. I couldn't recognise him, but all I knew was that he won't let me go, for no apparent reason. His dark brown eyes showed no emotions at all, they were instilling fear in me but I shouldn't show that I was terrified. The tears that I was holding in my eyes were begging me to release them, and I almost gave in to them. I backed away a few steps, until my back touches the brick wall. He moved and leaned in even closer, close enough that I could smell his cologne and his minty breath. He says nothing at all, but his stare terrifies me. He bit his lips, before he placed his both his hands on my shoulders tightly, making sure that I couldn't escape. I struggled, but I couldn't escape. His grip on me was too strong. Before I knew it, he let go of me and took out a knife. I gulped, the growing fear taking over me. I screamed my lungs out, but my voice couldn't be heard. I was helpless.

I sat up on my bed, panting as my breathing were heavy. My heart was beating extremely fast, as if I was running in a marathon. I grabbed a pillow, hugging it tightly as I tried to calm myself down.

Once I've managed to calm down a little, I reached out for my iPhone, deciding to call Niall without thinking much.

He answered after two rings. "Hello?" His voice sounded muffled, it is evident that I've disturbed his sleep.

I stuttered, "Hi, uh, Niall. I—"

"(Y/N)? Are you alright? Do you want me to come over?" He said. Did he read my mind or something?

Without waiting for my response, he continued. "I'm coming now."

Once the phone call ended, I headed towards the bathroom, splashing my face with the water, which was unsurprisingly cold.

It was just a nightmare.

Niall's POV

The moment I answered the call, I had a feeling that something went wrong. If it wasn't, why would someone call me at 4am in the morning?

Without even feeling the need to style my messy bed hair, I walked as quickly as possible to (Y/N)'s room. I knocked on the door, standing outside impatiently. I just wanted to make sure that she is alright.

A minute later, (Y/N) opened the door. Almost instantly, I spread my arms before pulling her in for a hug, which she gladly accepted. She rested her head on my shoulder. I rubbed her back soothingly, in a way to tell her 'Don't worry, I'm here for you.'

We walked further into her room. I didn't want to question why she called me at this hour; I just didn't want her to feel as though I didn't want to be here.

"I'm sorry to call you at," She looked at her watch, "4:10am, what? That's so early... I'm really so sorry."

"Hey hey, it's fine. Don't be sorry." I stated. However, I couldn't make my mouth shut and asked, "Anyway, why did you call me? You miss me too much, eh?" I winked cheekily at her, reducing the gap between us.

She laughed a little, "Why do you think so?"

"Uhm, I don't know, I just think so. Is my assumption correct?" I chuckled. I love teasing her, her reaction is always so hilarious.

She smiled and poked her tongue out, unwilling to give me the answer. "Okay okay..." I raised both of my hands in defeat. "But seriously, what's the actual reason then?"

Her face dropped, as if it was a sensitive subject. "Uhm, I kinda don't want to talk about it now?"

I nodded my head, understanding her. She spoke, "I just want to clarify something... So can I ask you a question?"
