"Hey, someone told me you wanted my number," a girl at my school came over to Luca and me. We were still at Starbucks and he was still tutoring me. Linda was her name I'm pretty sure. "Um, no I'm kinda busy right now," Luca said and looked at me. "Oh, are you guys on a date or something," she replied. "Something like that," he winks at her. 

"I have his number if you want it," I quickly said before she left. Might as well do something to make Luca mad. "No, she doesn't" Luca cut in. "Sure," she said at the same time. "Here," I give it to her and I can feel the lecture from Luca coming soon. 

"Ok, rule number 1. Don't give your tutors number out," Luca takes out a piece of paper and writes it down. "Oh, you're on. Rule number 2. No flirting while tutoring," I snatch the paper from him and write it down. "Fair," he mumbles. 

"Anyways, I have to go," Luca said and we pack things up. "Want me to drop you home?" he asked. "Only cause I have no one else who's free to come," I sigh. "So that's a no?" he asks and has his goofy smile on. "Your pretty stupid for a tutor," I shake my head and follow him to his car. 

Luca turns on the radio. "Yuh, I'm a savag-" I start to sing along to Megan Thee Stallion but Luca immediately turns the radio off. "If you're gonna be singing that might as well close it," he said. "I hate you," I reply.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Luca asks once he nears my house. Not gonna lie, I was surprised he still remembered where I live. He moved a while ago so I thought he forgot. But then again it is next to his old house so. 

"It's Saturday dummy," I answer. "Eli's hosting a party and I know Addalyn's going so I figured you were too," he shrugged. "No, I made plans with someone," I answered. 

Netflix is my date all day tomorrow. 

"Who?" he asked, curious. "Wouldn't you like o know," I wink at him and get out of his car.

"So, how was your tutoring session?" my mom asked. Mr. James emailed my mom that I was being tutored in math. My mom knew I was failing and she understood because she's terrible too. I made her and Addalyn promise they weren't gonna tell my dad.

"Fine," I groan. "Doesn't seem like it," she replied and gave me a chocolate chip cookie. "Addalyn and I baked these cause she said you might need them after the session," she shrugged. "She's the best twin," I moan. The cookies were so freaking good and chocolatey. 

"Who's your tutor. I would like to meet her," she casually said. I'm guessing she's been wondering this for a while. "Um, don't freak out but it's not a girl," I winced. "Ok," she said after finishing her cookie. "It's fucking Luca Martinez," I say quickly. "Holy shit," she answered. 

"I know right?" I answer, happy she didn't give me a lecture on the word, "fuck".

"But don't say that word," she added. Too soon. 

"Why does he want to tutor you?" she asked, intrigued. "He didn't have a choice," I explain she nods, understanding. 

"I hate him and this tutoring thing will be torture," I sigh and grab another cookie. My 4th cookie. "It's good thing though because you'll learn quickly because you'll want to be away from him," she replies and takes the box of cookies away before I can grab another one. 

"I guess," I mumble. "I'm going up to do my homework," I tell her and she nods.

"How was the session. Did mom tell you I made cookies with her," Addalyn immediately starts talking once I open the door to my room. "Holy shit y'all were in here for how long?" I ask shocked. 

Ethan & Ember were here munching on popcorn. 

"Spill. How did the date go?" Ethan ignores my question. "It went fine. Nothing happened," I reply and ignore the"date" part. 

"I was hoping for more romance but at least you didn't start some food fight so that's good," Ember replies and we laugh. "I swear Luca was about to when Linda came over and asked for his number and I gave it to her even though he said no," I replied and the others cracked up. 

"Make sure she doesn't take your man before you do," Ember warns. "Trust me, he'll only be mine for a few days and I'll dump him and say I only dated him because I was drunk or something," I snorted. "Don't play with his heart," Ethan said dramatically. 

"That's what he does! For his whole high school career," I scowl. 

"He barely even dated Aubrey. They were only together for a few weeks and that was only for sex and kisses," I add, disgusted. 

It's fucking payback.
