14) must be nice

"She clearly doesn't like you, David," Luca growls at David. "And you? We all know your a dick and your only using her," David shoots back.

"What?" I cut in & look at Luca, confused. "Is it for Aubrey because it's not working. She doesn't like you either way," I say. "No, David shut up," Luca orders.

"Tell her Luca," David challenges. "Tell me what?" I ask. "Nothing, David you better shut up," Luca growls. "Just fucking tell me," I try so hard not to scream. "If you don't do it, I'll do it," David takes a sip of his beer.

Ohhhh he's drunk.

I think. To be honest, he hasn't been drinking so much tonight. So maybe he's not drunk.

"Fine, Rylan dared Luca to make you fall in love with him. He won't give you real love like I will," David says and my eyes widen. "Oh," I say. "But I-" Luca starts and I cut him off.

"Well here's a news flash for you Luca. Aubrey dared me to get you to ask me out and break up with you later so ha!" I say and get up and leave the restaurant.

I can't believe I was starting to see the better side of Luca and this was all fake.

I see Sasha and Colby hugging tightly and Sasha has tears streaming down her face.

Must be nice having a perfect fucking life. Must be nice having a guy fall head over heels for- not because of a fucking dare.

I get my phone out and text Addy to pick me up. I forgot Luca drove me here.

David comes out with a bloody nose. "Oh, my fuck! Are you ok?" I go over to him and Sasha & Colby rush over. "He did at the bathroom so your lucky no kids saw," David groans.

Luca walks out with some tissues. He also had a bloody nose, not as bad as David's though. "Here," he gives Sasha the tissues to give to David.

"Luca!" I call for him. "What?" he murmurs turning around. "I... are you ok?" I ask. "I'll be fine," he says. "Do you want a ride home?" he asks and I shake my head. "I called Addy," I tell him. "I'll see you later," he mutters and drives off.

Addalyn shows up a few minutes. "What the hell happened?" she goes over to David who's still gushing blood. "He'll be fine," Colby says. "You guys can go, we'll take care of him," Sasha says. "Colby? Damn, I stay at home one night and so much shit happens," she murmurs and I get in the passenger seats.

"Holy shit," Addalyn finally says after I explain what happened. "I'm done with dating," I say. "Well, that was abnormal but don't worry it gets better. Maybe just stay away from double dates," she advises. "You mean to stay away from David and maybe Luca," I say. "Right," she says and takes a left turn.

"I just wanna stay home for like so long," I say once we get home. I take off my shoes and flop on the couch. "I know," Addalyn sighs.

"Where's mom & dad?" I ask, with a slight frown. "They'll be back around midnight. I think they went on some kind of movie night with friends. So um I accidentally invited Eli over, I didn't know how your date was going. I feel terrible now," Addalyn says, wincing. "It's fine," I inform, even though I was hoping to have my twin for the night- not some football dude.

"Thanks, your the best," she squeals and hugs me.

The doorbell rings and Addalyn goes to get it. "Is she home?" I hear a boy's voice ask. "Yup, don't hurt her," Addalyn warns and I feel myself crack my first smile since the double date disaster. "Promise, I won't," the boy answers.

"Hey, you want to talk?" Luca walks into the living room. "Oh, it's you," I turn my attention back to the TV. He finds the remote and turns to TV off.

"We'll be in my room," Addalyn says and her Eli disappear off. "Don't do something I wouldn't do," I warn. "We won't," Eli calls.

"Liars," Luca and I mumble at the same time. "What did you want to talk about?" I ask, stupidly. "The stupid dare," he sighs. "I actually learned to like you," he says, he looks worried. Nervous maybe. "Me too," I blurt out. "Like I miss our friendship," I add quickly. There is no way he would like me the way I like him. 

There's just no fucking way. 

I'm a liar. I missed him. But not our friendship. I actually like him. I freaking like Luca Martinez. I have a fucking crush on him. Ah, shit.

"Seriously? I just got friend-zoned by the most single girl at school," Luca shakes his head. Before I could add anything he left and I just sank into the soft and cozy couch.

So, does he like me as a friend or does he freaking hate me?

15 minutes later Eli and Addalyn come downstairs making out and I look away, gagging. "Where's Luca?" Eli says once they break away. "He said he had to leave," I shrug and turn the TV back on. "Damn it, I should've known he was gonna leave now I don't have a fucking ride home," Eli says.

"I'll take you home," Addalyn says and he agrees. "I'll be home soon. Don't miss me," Addalyn grins at me and leaves with Eli.

"Wasn't planning on it," I mutter.

Must be nice, Addalyn & Eli. Must be nice having the perfect relationship and being the perfect people. Must be nice having everyone liking you. Must be nice having someone to trust.

Must be nice being the perfect twin.

Must be nice being fucking perfect.
