Gracie's pov

I felt a cold chill blow along my legs, I shifted to the other side of my bed.

I slowly opened my eyes.
"Ahhhh!"
I screamed and jumped up, John was right up in my face. He was asleep.

I looked around at my surroundings realising I'm not at my house.

"John!"
I yelled.

He stirred awake.
"Yes luv?"
He asked, his voice was raspy.
"Where am I? Why are you sleeping next to me? And most of all put some clothes on!"
He smiled.
"I'm not naked Gracie, and your the one that wanted me to sleep with you. Your at mine."
I got up and threw him a t shirt.
"I wouldn't let you sleep next to me."
"No no no, I know myself."
I said backing up.
"We didn't shag luv calm down! You asked me to stay until you fell asleep so I did. And I fell asleep to."
I found my shoes.
"I'm leaving! You'll explain more la-"
As I opened the door Paul was standing right at it about to knock.
John got up still shirtless walking over in what seemed to be boxers.

This was messy, it looked like we slept together.
Paul's mouth fell open as he inspected John and my self.
He then made intense eye contact with me.
"What is this?"
"Don't worry Paul."
John said.
"Don't you don't worry Paul me John!"
He yelled making me jump slightly.

Paul had a white t shirt and blue jeans on, he looked tired.

I remembered our last encounter, and how rude I was yelling at him.

He probably stayed up all night worrying about it.

This whole situation is probably the end of anything that was going to happen.
"Paul, nothing happened."
John said, John seemed so calm.

"I don't believe you John! You knew I liked her! And you just step in and shag her!"
He liked me?
"I didn't shag him Paul! I think it's quite low you think that of me. And I liked you to."
I squeezed past them.

I felt terrible as I walked the famous walk of shame, I didn't know where I was.

I didn't know where johns was?
As soon as I walked out of the building, I had still no clue.

But lucky for me, Paul ran down after me.
"Wait!"
"I can't go anywhere I don't know where i am."
I said, not looking at him.

He grabbed my arm and brought my eyes to his.
I didn't realise how beautiful his eyes were, a nice dark brown.

It matched his whole persona.
"I'm sorry."
He said.
"Me to, I'm sorry I lashed out on you Paul. Like I said-"
"Tuff past?"
"I guess you could put it that way."
"I was just worried for you luv, after you ran off last night. I looked everywhere. And when I couldn't find you I freaked out and thought of all the worst senarios possible. But when I saw you with John. It just-"
I frowned and looked down.
"To be completely honest with you, I didn't even know how I ended up with him."
Paul smiled slightly shining some light to this.
"I love your smile."
I said.
He stopped smiling and chuckled.

It started pouring down rain.
"Shit!"
Paul yelled.
He grabbed my arm to pull me back to johns.

But I pulled him back harder so his body pushed against mine and I stood up and kissed him.

Everything went slow motion, the rain and this moment.
I felt my clothes and hair soak.
He grabbed on to my cheeks and kissed me deeper.
He pulled away remaining eye contact with me.

He looked surprised, I smiled and licked my lips.

I had tried my bests not to even think one bit about Zac, and it did me some good.
"Wow."
I smiled.
"I've wanted to do that for a while now."
He said.
"I guess I beat you to it."
I've never had this much confidence, it's new to me.

But I felt like that kiss, was just the start of me moving on.
He took my hand and walked out to the rain.
"Wait...Paul?"
I said cautious of getting even more wet.
He turned to face me, his hair was slicked down his face.

And we were both drenched head to bottom.
"Trust me."
He looked in my eyes, I smiled and slowly nodded.

He ran down the street holding my hand, we ran down the streets.

The rain only seemed to get harder and harder.
The streets were full of people and black umbrellas.

It always looked so dull when it rained in Britain.

But something about this moment, felt special.
"Paul!"
I half yelled chuckled over the rain.
There was water dripping down from my bangs.

We stopped at a park, he lead me to a big fig tree in the middle of the park. It was peculiar because it was like the only tree in the park.

We ran under it getting shelter, although water still leaked through the branches.

I looked out at the many fields in front of us.
"This trees special y'know."
"Why's that?"
"Well this tree, was the tree me mum always told me about."
He paused.
"Are you alright?"
"Uh yeah, I remember when I was just a little lad. She went to the city. London. Which was a big deal for a Liverpudlian lass. I cried every night because she wasn't there. But When she came back. She told me about this one tree. A tree that she felt was very lonely. She told me that she'd sit under it. And just look out at the Fields."
Paul said while holding his hands picturing it.
"That sounds wonderful Paul. How is your mother n-"
I put two and two together and realised she must've passed away.

I walked to him and wrapped my arms around his shoulders.
"Hey."
His eyes were attached to mine.
"That's a beautiful story, and I bet she still comes here and sits under this tree."
He smiled and brought me into a hug.

And even though we were both wet, and cold.
It was a warm loving hug.

I pulled off of him, and chuckled.
"What?"
"I'm sorry, it's just we're both so wet!"
He looked down at both of us and started laughing himself.

He grabbed me and we both collapsed down onto the grass, watching the rain cascade down.
My head was on his chest, and I could hear his heart beat.
I snuggled into him and shut my eyes.

Hoping for this moment never to end.
