Gracie's pov
"Paulie! Paul, paul, paulllllll! Paulie Paulie!!"
I sang out loud while flipping another pancake.
"Yes my darling?"
He sang back beautifully.
"It's nearly Christmas!"
I sang.
He smiled.

I smiled.
"Sing for me?"
I asked as he approached from our bedroom.
"What song?"
"Sing the months of the year."
He let out a laugh.
"January February marrrrchh! And April May June Julyyyy and August September  novvvember December!!! These are the months of the year!"
He sang out perfectly, kissing my cheek as he took a pancake.
"That was something else. And you missed October—"
Before I could finish he wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed me.
I smiled and he said
"Luv, it was the months of the year."
I let out a laugh.
"So?"
I asked swaying my hips randomly.
"Hey George was going to stop by this afternoon for tea. Is that ok?"
I practically dropped my mouth open.
"What's wrong?"
All of a sudden the door bell rang.
"Gracie.... what have you done?"
I smiled running to the door, I was only in a shirt and undies, comfortable.
I opened the door and squealed!
"Pattie!!!"
I yelled throwing my arms around her.
"Gracie!!"
She yelled kissing both my cheeks.
We both jumped up and down.
Paul came over.
"What's this? George won't like this—"
"George?"
Pattie said, her persona fading lightly at the mention of his name.
"Come on patts it's been nearly 20 something years."
I spoke softly.
She nodded.
"I haven't seen him since then."
Paul and I both gasped.
"Really?!"
We both exclaimed.
She nodded.
"Shit."
Paul said seeing a familiar white car pull up in our drive way.
"Follow me patts."
I whispered taking her hand and leading her into the guest bedroom.

I ran back out jumping into a pair of jeans.
"Georgie!"
I yelled swinging my arms around George's shoulder.
"Gracie! You haven't grown since I saw you last."
I sighed.
"Maybe because I'm nearly 40?"
"Oh gosh. I'm nearly 40."
I said gagging.
"Still has beautiful since the first time I saw Ye."
Paul said.
"Paul I was homeless the first time you met me."
He smiled.
"Exactly."
Ringo then unexpectedly came through the doors.
"Rings!"
I said.
"The gangs back together."
I sang, but we all remained in silence as John was still in New York, never to be heard of.

"So, pancakes anyone?"
George immediately perked up.
"Yes please!"
I smiled, but we all stopped when I we heard faint giggles coming from the guest bedroom.
"What was that?"
George asked.
"N- Nothing, probably a mop falling over in the laundry room."
I was quick to say.
"A mop? That's quite precise..."
"It happens all the time!"
Paul jumped in.
"Yeah I'm sure."
George said slolwy walking towards the guest bedroom.
"I could of sworn it came from here."
I ran over to the door.
"Don't open this door George Harrison!"
He smiled.
I pressed my back against the door.
"Or what?"
He asked.
I thought.
"Or no pancakes for you!"
He frowned and slowly backed up.

I sighed and walked over to ringo, Yknow to Catch up.

But before I knew it George made a b-line to the guest door.
"Nooo!"
To late, he opened it.
"Pattie?"
He asked, his voice going softer.
"George.."
"George I'm sorry we didn't tell Yeah she'd be-"
George picked pattie up and spun around hugging her.
"Oh patts! Ive missed Ye!"
She giggled hugging him back.
"Me to!!"
I let out a loud reassuring breathe.

That god they're ok, it's December and I want 1980 to be over already!

"Ok, well I still want pancakes."
George stated as he plopped Pattie down.

We all laughed, and gathered around the kitchen.

It was like old times, Paul and ringo laughing, Pattie and George flirting.

And me—.
John wasn't here, I'd be making fun of him, or talking to Brian.

But I can't do any of that again.
"Gracie? I think sams here."
I snapped out of my dream, running to the door.
"Sammy!!"
I yelled jumping into his arms, he smiled hugging me back.
"Mum! Looking good dad."
He said hugging Paul.
"Uncle George! Uncle ringo!"
They all smiled.
"I loved the album son, your doing well."
George spoke to Sam about his music.
"That means a lot coming from you mr tax man."
Georg laughed patting his back.
"You could add some sitar Yknow to spice it up."
"Yeah... maybe not."
"Don't listen to him son! That sitar doesn't mix well!"
George laughed, but we could all tell he was angry about that little comment on his god for saken sitar.
Pattie and laughed about ringo poking fun at Paul's grey hairs.
"Well at least I'm not bald!"
Ringo laughed.
"Hey let's watch telly."
Pattie said.
"No! Let's make conversation patts!"
She smiled rolling her eyes, turning the tv on.

I walked over to George and Sam, George held my hand and twirled me around playfully.
"Oi oi oi! Watch it with me wife George!"
Paul hollered.
We both laughed, and Sam showed us some new song he's gotten chords for.
"How's dhani?"
I asked George.
"He's doing well! 2 at the moment, he's growing two fast."
George said, George and his wife Olivia had a son back in 78' I baby sit him sometimes, I love it! I miss when my little baby Samuel was at that age.

Pains me to see kids grow.
Ringo and Paul joined our conversation eventually.

Nothing had changed, I was laughing at George's remarks and smiling at ringos jokes.

Falling deeper then you can imagine for Paul's speeches to the two to lay off the swearing in front of Sam even though he's a grown adult.

"Guys!"
Pattie yelled, she sounded distressed.
We all exchanged strange looks.
"Guys!!!"
She sounded as though she was in tears.

I ran into the lounge room.
Pattie was standing right in front of the tv, she dropped the remote from her right hand and fell to her knees.
"Pattie?!"
I ran over to her, she was sobbing so hard I didn't even notice the head line of the news, until I heard the cry's and screams of Paul.

"John Lennon shot out front of his New York home, pronounced dead 2 hours ago. The shooters has been arrested."
My ears begun to ring as I slolwy unwrapped my arms from Pattie.
Every time I'd blink tears would threaten to spill.

I couldn't hear anything, only the faint cry's as I backed up.
"Johns dead."
I mumbled almost impossible to hear.
Flash back
I sat across from John throwing pop corn into his mouth from a distance, missing almost every time making us both errupt into fits of laughter.
"You keep missing!"
"Maybe if you had a bigger mouth I wouldn't be!"
I said he smiled, I aligned my shot. Measured it all out enthusiastically and made my shot.
Finally getting it in.

We both shot up hands in the air jumping around.
John picked me up from the floor spinning me around, causing the both of us to laugh out asses off.
"Your to good John John."
I said.
"Why thank you gra gra."
John can't be dead.
I shook the thought from my head as I ran down foot paths.

I thought of John, his face, his eyes.
It all seemed so surreal.

And I know I can't handle this amount of pain by myself.
So I ran back home.

All the cars had gone, I walked inside seeing Paul lying face down on the carpet next to the fire.

I sniffled, my heart breaking at the look of it.

I walked over to him and sat down, he shuffled up and laid his head in my lap.

I played with his hair.
"January February March and April May June July and August September October November December—"
"These are the month is of the year."
Paul finished off our little song, his voice cracking not sounding like it did this morning.
He broke down.
"He's gone! Gracie he's dead!"
He yelled out in sobs.
"I know, I know. This is absolutely terrible Paul, but he'd want you to get through it."
I was barley keeping on myself, the sound and the look of paul crying made me want to crawl up into a ball and cry myself.

"Imagine all the people."
I sang quietly, as the fire heated us up.
"Living life in peace".
"He he he he he."
I sung.

And sooner or latter I could hear the faint sounds of Paul's snoring.
"Goodbye four eyes, until next time."
I whispered, clenching my eyes shut, preventing The waterfalls of tears willing to spill if I let go.
"Love is all you need."
