Gracie's pov

Pattie and I were dancing on my bed to a record she brought over, I was getting ready for my date with Paul.

And to be completely honest with you, I can't express how excited I am.

It's strange to think just a week and a bit ago, I hated and resented Paul.

But now I can't get my mind off of the lad. It's nuts! as my grandfather would say.

I know that I'll have to open up to him eventually about my past, but right now all I can do is do my best at wowing him.

This is the first date I'll go on after Zac, it pains me to say.

Pattie and I flopped back onto my bed huffing and puffing. We turned to each other and started laughing.
"Ok you need to get ready!"
"Yeah tell me about it!"
I said jumping up.
I walked to my closet but Pattie pushed me out of the way.
"Hey!"
"Listen luv, as much as I love your style... I have some things I brought over hat just have Gracie written all over it!"
I shrugged and nodded.
She shreaked and ran out to her bag, and soon came back in with 5 big black bags which I'm guessing had clothes in.
"Ok.... you really must love my style."
She smiled and handed them to me.
"Fashion show!"
Pattie yelled as she shoved me into the toilet.
I chuckled, and heard pattie change the song to something fun.
I got dressed in the first one, it was a nice short sleeveless yellow dress with white decorations around the neck.
It looked good, and the accessory was a black rimmed hat a pearl necklace and a small black leather hand bag.
I walked out and shot some posses to pattie, and she clapped and laughed as I did so.
After thirty minutes of dressing up, both Pattie and I came to the conclusion that we loved the first one and if we kept going on I'd miss my date.

I got back into the first dress, and Pattie put my hair into a low bun and slicked my hair into it.

She did my makeup and gave me some black pumps.

"Ok, ta da!"
I said.
Pattie smiled and held her hands together inspecting her creation.
"I. Love. It!"
I smiled and did a twirl.
As we danced to the remainder of the song we heard a knock The door.

We both paused and smiled, I hugged pattie.
"Thank you so much patts I don't know how to thank you."
I said into the hug.
"Let me be the bridesmaid!"
I smiled and pulled back.
"Now go get your man!"
She yelled pushing me to the door.
I nodded and walked out, I opened the door and smiled as I saw Paul smiling as well.

He looked amazing, yesterday I was walking past a news agency and saw his face on a bunch of magazines under 'sexiest man alive.'
Am i seriously about to go on a date with that?

"You looked absolutely beautiful luv."
He said.

I smiled.
"And the same to you mr McCartney."
I said.
"Your looking quite dapper."
I said in a posh accent.

He smirked.
"Oh, I can play the same game."
He went down on one knee and gave me his hand.
"Ready for a night of wonders ma'am?"
I took his hand, and he got up and smiled.
"I think I am."
He nodded and we walked out.

It was around 8 pm, quite a cold night.
We walked down the city streets under the dark mysterious skies guiding us the way.

Paul held my hand and kept close to me, I'd look at him and just completely melt.

I looked at all the small shops.
"Gracie."
I turned to face Paul, but it was Zac.

I jerked my hand out of his grasp.
"Gracie?"
I shook my head.
"S-sorry Paul."
"Is everything ok?"
"Yeah, just a bit jumpy is all."
He nodded.
"Hey! There it is!"
"What?"
He started running, me tagging behind.
"Here, close your eyes."
"Wha-"
"Trust me."
I smiled and shut my eyes.

I felt Paul wrap his hands gently around my waist.
"Don't open them."
He whispered, sending goosebumps down my neck.
He guided me down, I felt my shoes hit grass.
"Ok open them."

I slowly fluttered my eyes open, I gasped as I saw a small picnic set up.

It was away from the public, tucked away in a cozy little park area.

There was candles and wine, foods and a guitar.
"It's beautiful."
I said.
"A beautiful set up, for a beautiful girl."
I smiled and Paul helped me down.

He got down opposite me.
We ate amazing foods, Paul 'apparently' cooked himself.

We drank and spoke, it was wonderful.
I couldn't express how happy I was.
It's just magical to find a person who'd do this sorta stuff for you.
"So. Tell me about your parents."
I coughed.
"Touchy subject?"
"Um. No. Well yeah but no.."
"Tell me."
I nodded and took a sip of my wine.
"Just gonna need a few more of these."
He smirked.
"Go on."
"My parents, are both happily married. They live in Liverpool. I grew up there-"
"Wait. You grew up in Liverpool?"
"Yeah-"
"That's impossible."
"I did!"
"You didn't!"
"I did!"
"If you did, I'd of noticed a pretty bird like you."
"You lived there to?"
"Born and raised."
"Wow.."
"Small world."
"Small world."
We laughed as we said that at the same time.
"Well I lived on the outskirts, anyway. Yeah they live in a cottage together. With my little brother Keith, and my golden retriever max."
He smiled.
"And."
"And what?"
"Anything more to your story?"
"Depends."
"What?"
"Depends on how you define story."
Paul chuckled and held both of my hands hoisting us both up.
"I took you to my tree, you take me to your tree."
"I don't have a tree."
I said half confused.
"No silly! It's a metaphor! Take me to your symbolical place."
I thought about it for a while.
"Ok."
I took his hand and started running towards-
"Wait where exactly are you taking me?"
"The bench."
