Paul's pov

I walked with John and George down a path towards our flat.
I had a date with Gracie in one hour! Well at least I hope it's a date.
You see, after Jane broke my heart I'd never really experienced love or a strong bond.
But I think I could possibly start something with Gracie that is if everything goes well.

She's a beautiful strong woman, I think she's quite inspiring if I say so myself.
John cleared his throat breaking the silence.

I then realised I was in mid sentence when I got side tracked by Gracie.

"And you were saying lover boy?"
John said nudging me.
"Shut it Lenny. Anyway so I have this date slash hang out with gra-"
"Paul's gonna get a shag!"
George started chucking.
"Is there anything more to you then sex John?"
"Let me see, wellllll yeah no there isn't."
I shook my head in disappointment.
"Just listen! I'm not after a shag John, I'm after a nice night."
"Ok I got one good bit of advice."
"Let me guess a shag?"
"No! Ok yea you got me a shag!"
"George? Do you have any ideas? You've been dating pattie for quite some time."
George looked up.
"Yeah but we're perfect for each other, so I don't have to worry."
I rolled my eyes.
"Quite the help you to are. I'm going to hers."
I turned around and walked the opposite direction heading to her apartment.
"Tell ya lover I said hi!"
John yelled.
I flipped him off.

Gracie's Pov
I slammed my bedroom door, I quite literally threw myself helplessly to my closet praying there would be something half decent to wear.

After endless minutes of searching I found the perfect dress.

It was a white short dress with frilly ends and small signs on it.

I remember my mother giving it to me for church to wear.

That is when she forced me to attend.

I slipped into it, running to the mirror looking at myself up and down judging whether or not it was appropriate.

I then had a mental break down, the thought coming to mind that I was over reacting and Paul was simply wanting to have a small outing.

I usually doubt myself a lot these days, it's stupid but I think I may have developed a small crush to Paul.

It's stupid, but I find him attractive and smart and kind and-

Then I remembered when I saw him naked in my shower.

I cringed at the memory, I remembered how harsh I was on him.

Then I thought, maybe I'm just a magnate for terrible things.
Zac
My parents
Now him?

Is this a sign I should be running for the hills?
Don't be a coward.

I repeated to myself, I do that often.

But eventually I came to the conclusion that I was stressing over a small hangout.

But by the time I figured that, I heard a knock at my apartment door.
"Shit!"
"Coming!"
I yelled.

I brushed my hair and applied simple amount of makeup.
I looked at myself.
"Good enough."
I ran out of my room hoping into heels.
"Gracie?"
"Coming!"
I got to the door huffing and puffing, I was kneeling on the ground fixing my shoe.

I looked up to Paul giving him a clumsy smile.
He returned it and gave me his hand.

I got up brushing anything off my dress.
"You look beautiful."
He said.
"Thanks! You look beautiful to."
He chuckled.
"I mean you look handsome!"
"I better!"
I chuckled.

But then the awkward silence crept up, and we were still standing at my door frame.
"Well shall we?"
Paul said.
I smiled.
"I never thought you'd ask."
He bowed and gave me his arm, we linked arms and I locked my door.

He then took me by surprise and started skipping down my stairs.

I laughed each skip.
"Paul!"
He gave me a clumsy smile which made me laugh harder.
We reached the bottom of the stairs and Paul turned right.
"There's a shopping centre just down that way."
I nodded and we walked to that very direction.
I enjoyed it, it was somewhat different to the walked I usually did to my work.

He then stopped abruptly.
"What?"
"Do you remember this place?"
I looked around confused.

But then a great big smile spread across my lips, realising we were at the spot we first met when he spilt my coffees over my dress.
"How could I forget."
We stayed silent until Paul let out a great big laugh.

"I'm sorry but, when I bumped into you I was trying my absolute hardest not to laugh."
I hit him.
"Those coffee were hot!"
"I'm sorry!"
"Oh well, you'll make up for it one day."
"Let's hope so."
I shook my head and we continued our walk.
Once we arrived there I was already intrigued by the bright colours.
The streets in this little shopping center were quite vibrant.
"I've never seen anything like it!"
I said.
"You just wait."
He dragged me to a couple of different clothes shops, all of which were a bit to dear for my liking, but Paul insisted the whole time.

After at least one hour of endless searching we stumbled across this one particular store that had me surprised.
"This one looks good."
Paul said.

I went in instantly smelling the fumes of countless perfumes and such.

After my eyes roamed the shelves and clothes my eyes stopped.

My smile grew bigger as I looked at it longer.
"Paul, are you seeing what I'm seeing?"
"Uh huh."
I felt his hand on my shoulder.
"It's definitely this one."
"Uh huh."
He was taken away.

This dress was absolutely stunning.
It was a blue sleeveless dress that parted down the middle.
It was a deep aqua blue and it had vibrant cute little flowers on it and other patterns.

"Excuse me we'll take this one!"
"But I need to try it on Paul!"
"I know you'll look beautiful, you'll look beautiful in anything."
I froze as he said that, I felt butterflies in my stomach.

I blushed and attempted to cover it with smile.
"This one?"
A lady who I assume worked here asked breaking us from our little moment.
"Yes please."
-
Paul and I got the dress and had some Cheerios walking back to my apartment, my legs were sore and my face was to from laughing.

Paul was hilarious he'd crack a joke whenever he saw the opportunity to.

I loved that about him.
The stars twinkled and the night sky shined, Paul had given me his jacket it was quite cold.

We arrived out front of my apartment and I slid his jacket off, he handed me the shopping bag with the dress.

"I had a lovely night."
"I had a lovely night."
We both chuckled as we said that at the same time.

Paul scratched his neck.
"I really did Paul, probably the most fun I've had in months."
"I'm glad you enjoyed it."
I nodded.

I placed my hand on his cheek, his eyes instantly drew to mine.
"I hope we can do it again."
I whispered.

He slowly nodded.
I smiled and kissed his cheek, I didn't want to go over and boundaries.

He just stood there.

I didn't know why to do so I patted his shoulder, I then ran up my stairs directly to my room.

I jumped on my bed and screamed with happiness.

I got up and jumped up and down on my bed I was so content!

After warying myself out I fell asleep.
But this time I fell asleep happy.
And excited for tomorrow and working at abbey road studios again.
