Gracies pov

A sharp loud endless noise woke me from a deep and well needed slumber.
I threw my white blanket on the floor and sat up straight.

I adjusted my view to the clock on my wall.
"Oh shit."
I cursed. I got my alarm the source of  the loud noise and ran to my shower.

I live in a small apartment in London, it's small and loud, but affordable in my situation.

You see it's been 4 months since the accident, I'd be lying if I said I don't think about it every single night.

But when I do think about it, I remember that I'm starting over.

Starting a new life.

Turned the shower on and got in.

I let the warm water soak into my sore muscles,   After I moved from my parents I got a job as an assistant for a big company that's just around my block.

So I've been staying up around to 2 am, let's just say my sleep schedule is messy.
Just like my life, my mother would say.

I got out and dressed appropriately.
I didn't have time to do makeup or accessorise, I've been late for mr Johnson once, and it wasn't pretty.

I let my brown locks bounce to my shoulders.
I grabbed my purse and Swang my apartment door shut locking it and running down stairs.

Every morning I go to the local coffee shop, mr Johnson has a latte every morning.

So I buy one for him and one for me.
Walked fast down the streets of London.

I occasionally looked down to my small wrist watch keeping an eye on the time.

I had 17 minutes precisely.
I ordered the coffees and leaned on the bench.
"Two coffees for Gracie!"
"Yep!"
I took them and blew a stand of hair out of my face.
Ok ok ok come on Gracie you can't be late...
I chanted over and over to myself.

I walked down the pavement enjoying the scenery of which was bus stops and small shops.
I looked around and my eyes were drawn to a small shop. It was familiar, how have I not noticed it on all of my walks to work?

I hadn't been looking at my surroundings, I didn't even realise I was walking faster then before.

I then felt a pain to my chest and I fell backwards the coffees spilling all over myself.

I winced at the hot liquid.
"Oh miss! I'm so terribly sorry!"
I had my eyes shut, trying to drown out the pain which was now coursing throughout my back.
I felt the person hold my hand and pull me up.
"You alright luv?"
I slowly opened my eyes, they were instantly met with other eyes.

I looked the man up and down, he looked so familiar.... sounded so familiar.

I shook out of my day dream, coming back into reality.
"Oh shit!"
I looked down at my dress, which was a very pretty one with cute floral followers scattered on it.

But now is covered in coffee.
"I'm sorry and you are?"
I said bringing my attention back to him.

He was picking the coffee cups up.
He got back up.
"I'm paul, and your Gracie right?"
I shot a sour look.
"How'd you know that Paul?"
"Well it says right here now doesn't it?"
He said pointing to the coffee cup which had my name written on.

My cheeks heated up in embarrassment.
"Oh. Yeah."
"Gracie who? Might I ask."
He asked this time looking me up and down.
"Gracie woods. Paul who?"
"McCartney."
My eyes widened, that's where I noticed him from.
Liverpool accent, mop top and might I add cute  to the list.
Paul McCartney from my knowledge is apart of a band, the Beatles. I'm not to much of a fan.

I don't really have a thing for music, I like it but I don't listen to that much.

And if you were living under such as a rock, you'd be crazy not to know the Beatles.

There everywhere!
The tv
Magazines
Record shops
Shops in general.

"Well...Are you going to say something?"
I looked to my watch.
"Oh you've got to be kidding me."
"Nice meeting you mr McCartney, but Im officially 3 minutes late to my job."
"Uh we-"
I ran past him, my chest was sticky and hot.
I groaned remembering how rude Mr Johnson is going to me.
Not only am I late.
But I don't have any coffee!

I walked through the doors, being welcomed with hundreds of people on the phone doing business, and that smell of clean cars.

It's strange, but that's just what Ive picked up after the 2 and a half months I've been working here.
"GRACIE!"
I turned around being welcomed with my boss, it looked like a vein was throbbing in his head.

He had his hair painfully slicked back, and his very tight black suit on.
"Yes sir."
"Your late! And where's my coffee?"
"I'm sorry sir, but would you believe me if I told you the Paul McCartney ra-"
He let out a loud dramatic laugh.
"You had me at would you believe me ms woods."
"Now I'm going to have to have you working later for me."
He patted my back with his large strong hand basically cracking my back in half.
"Oh and Gracie."
He said.
"Yes?"
"Get cleaned up luv, you look like raccoon."
"Oh. Ok."
He smirked and walked back to his office.

I walked over to the office bathroom.
I went into the furthest stall and as soon as I got in, I slowly slid to the floor bring my arms to hug my legs.

I silently cried, as sad as it sounds this is something I usually do.

Your a useless child!
A troublemaker!
I can no longer look at you!"
I shook the memories out of my head.

No you need to forget.
I squinted my eyes shut, until I heard the bathroom door open.
"Did you hear that the Beatles are here! Like in this very area?!"
"Yesssss my sister and I are going to watch them tomorrow night!"
I soon drowned them out and thought about my encounter with Paul this morning it felt so surreal.

But before I could think another thing I felt better.
I sighed and slowly got up from the floor.

I opened my stall and walked to the tap splashing cold water over my face.

Attempting at hiding the fact I had been crying.
I sniffled and also tried at fixing my dress.

"Well I guess that's that for my dress."
I mumbled.

I walked out but immediately froze.

There they were, four men.
Four mop tops.
Four suits.

I looked at each of them.
But then I looked at Paul and realised he was looking right at me.

I looked down and walked to mr Johnson's office, avoiding his eye contact.
But I felt his eyes burning into my skull as much as I hate to admit it, I felt strange.

But that feeling sonly faded when mr Johnson instructed me to sit down and take notes.

"Excuse me sir, why are the Beatles here?"
He scoffed and whipped the edge of his mouth with a napkin.
"Well mr Epstein there manager has them here for a small meeting."
"Oh."
"Now hurry up, I need those notes down for my conference Tomorrow."
"Yes sir."
I brought my full attention back to the notes.
But I guess it was really only half on my attention.

Because I couldn't whipe my thoughts from Paul.
