When You Love Someone

Ashely's POV
i woke up the next morning not knowing it would change my life, the early morning sun shone through my curtains that i forgot to close that night. i sat up and immediately felt dizzy, this always happened when i hadn't eaten enough. i stares at the wall opposite my bed until the room stopped spinning and then made my bed. i walked over to my mirror and lifted up my pyjama top and realised how skinny i was. i felt a bit of pride but then i counted the days since i hadn't eaten/ eaten without throwing up. it had been weeks. i got dressed in a pair of oversized ripped mom jeans and a cropped jumper. i grabbed my bag and phone and walked out the door.

i arrived at school around half an hour before it opened. i walked into the library to catch up on some coursework for school. i sat in the silent area which was the same as the rest of the library but around each computer had wood around the sides so it made a little cubby. i sighed and got on with my work. around twenty minutes later i felt someone kiss my cheek and i turned around to see a beautiful Robyn smiling at me. i kissed her on the lips and she pulled a chair from the cubby next to me and sat down.
"hey what you doing here?" i asked confused to why she was here in the morning. she smiled at me before speaking.
"well i wanted to see you, i missed you too much. and i have a bunch of coursework to do so i thought i might as well do it in the library so i'm here when i need to go to class" she said giving me another adorable smile. i smiled back at her and kissed her forehead.
"as long as your happy" i replied, she nuzzled her head into my neck. i pulled her in for a hug, we sat like that for around 5 mins until i realised i need to rush to my first class.
"i will see you at break okay?" i said before giving her one last kiss.

i sat through a morning of boring lessons and with every passing minute i felt more and more weak. i wasn't sure what was happening to me. i walked to the library, i stumbled slightly as i walked. i sat Robyn immediately and walked over to her.
5 minutes
i gave her a kiss and looked at the work she was doing. she was writing an essay for history, i had written that essay days ago. i liked to get stuff done fast so i did it on the day it was assigned.
"how are you?" i asked and felt my head spin. i took deep breaths and looked at Robyn. i think she could sense something was wrong.
"i'm good but i think we should be worried about you. are you okay? you look sick, let me feel your head."
one minute
i shook my head not wanting her to worry.
"i'm fine we ummm dissected a pig in science and i feel a bit disgusted from that still" i lied and Robyn looked confused.
"but we are doing acids in science?" Robyn asked confused and i just looked at her exhausted. the room carried on spinning.
30 seconds
"okay your not okay let me feel your head" Robyn said and she touched my forehead. a look of concern and shock crossed her face.
"you freezing cold. like a dead body" she said. the room spinner faster and faster. black dots filled my vision and my body went limp.
"help" i managed to say before i fell to the ground.
"Ashely! someone get help. Ashely wake up. baby come on" was the last thing i heard before everything went black.

Robyn's POV
my girlfriend laid dead cold and still on the floor.
"Ashely wake up! wake up!" i shouted as people started to gather around. i looked around with tears in my eyes.
"stop standing around and get help! call 999 please!" i screamed. i moved Ashley's head into my lap and pushed her hair away from her face. i closed my eyes and thought of all the ways i could help her, come on stupid first aid classes. i cheated her pulse, it was slow like really slow. i saw someone on the phone to what i assumes was a 999 dispatcher.
"her pulse is slowing down" i said to them and they repeated it to the dispatcher.

a few minutes later Ashley was still cold. the ambulance worker's burst into the library. they moved Ashley onto a stretcher and connected her to oxygen. i ran after them and into the ambulance. i held her hand the whole way to the hospital. i never thought that i would be sitting next to my beautiful girlfriend on the verge of death.

two weeks later,  nothing had changed. her parents came once and never came again. they were paying for the medical bills and had prepaid for her to go to a mental institution.

three weeks was when she woke up. she sat up looking pale and tired, i rubbed her hand sympathetically and smiled at her.  i explained what had happened and she looked in the verge of crying.
"i'm so sorry" she whispered weakly i shook my head and kissed her on the forehead.
"i never thought i would see this day. the day where your in the hospital and i'm sitting by your bed" i said calmly. tears brimmed in her eyes. she sadly laughed a little bit and looked at me.
"how long have i been out?" she asked.
"about a month maybe a bit less, i've been sitting right here the whole time" i answered, she smiled a bit.
"can i have a kiss?" she whispered nervously, i didn't reply instead i pulled her towards me and kissed her like it was the end of the world. the doctors came in with the same straps they used when i was getting sectioned.
"what's happening? Robyn stop them please" she cried as she struggled. i held her hand and looked into her eyes.
"it's okay baby. they are taking you too a mental institution where you can get treatment. i packed you a bag the other day. there is a phone in there with my number on it, they said you were allowed phones without cameras so it is an old one but at least you can talk to me. i'm so sorry but it's what's best for you. i love you okay?" i explained.
"no" she screamed as they took her away.
"i love you" i shouted she sat up a tiny bit looking right at me.
"i love you" she replied giving up with struggling. they took her out of my view and i broke down crying. everything was going to be okay.
