When You Love Someone

•chapter twelve

Robyn's POV

a week later I was packing my bag to go camping for the weekend with our friends, Ashely, Liliana, Mia, Lilith and her girlfriend. I was wearing some ripped mom jeans and a crop top, I had a jumper in my bag in case I got cold. Lilith's mum was driving us all to the camp sight in her seven seater. we were all meeting at her house in 20 minuets and I was still packing. my mum knocked on the door before opening.

"you ready yet? do you have your phone and portable charger? and money for food right?" My mum looked through my beg to double check I had everything, which I did. I grabbed my bag and said goodbye to my family and walked to Lilith's house. Her girlfriend, Ellie, was already there. I knocked on the door and Lilith opened it.

"Robynnnn!" Lilith shouted and embracing me into a tight hug. "I missed youuu"

"I missed you too" I said and pulled away from the hug. I gave Ellie a quick hug and said hello to Lilith's mum. we all went up to Lilith's room and waited for the others. everyone was here around 20 minuets later. we listened and sung along to cheesy songs in the car.

"okay guys what time is the fireworks display?" Mia asked who was sitting in the back next to Liliana. I shrugged my shoulders and so did Ashely who was sitting next to me.

"it starts at 7:30" Ellie said from next to Ashely.

"thank you" Mia almost shouted.

"no problem!" Ellie replied.

when we saw the camp sight we all screeched with excitement, and Lilith's mum sighed. she parked and we all ran out like exited 5 year olds. we all got our bags out of the car boot and walked towards the place where we register. Lilith's mum said goodbye to us and we found our tents. there were three mini teepee tents fairy lights were attached to the poles coming out of the top of the tent and they created a triangle of lights in the air. in the middle was a fire and log benches for us to sit down on. inside the tents there were a mini fridge and a plug socket, there was double bed in the middle of it. it is very cute and lovely. we put our clothes in our dresser and put our snacks in the fridge.

later that day we had even our food and we where in an empty field waiting for the fireworks. Ashely held my hand and that's all i could concentrate on. i couldn't help but still feel butterflies whenever we touched. Ashely pulled me into her and i placed my head on her shoulder. the fireworks show started and it was beautiful. Ashely turned me around to face her and she placed her arms around my waist.
"i love you" She said before kissing me passionately on the lips. i kissed her back before pulling away.
"i love you too" i said, Ashely tucked a piece of hair behind my ear and kissed me again. i was aware of the stares but i didn't care. she pulled me into a hug and i placed my head in her shoulder and closed my eyes. we watched the rest of the show and we walked back to our tent.
"you guys want to light a fire?" Ellie asked. we all agreed and sat down on the logs.
"i'm going to get stuff for s'mores!" Lilith exclaimed and ran towards her tent.
"when isn't she thinking about food?" i joked and everyone laughed. Ellie set the fire and we all made s'mores and played two truths and a lie.
"hold up so you thought your fish was dead and you flushed it down the toilet and then you realised you flushed the alive one instead of the dead one?" Liliana asked whilst trying not to laugh.
"yeah i was 10! not my fault!" Mia said defensively. we played for about another hour until we all said goodnight and Ashely and i went back to bed. Ashely pulled me towards her and stroked my hair.
"hi" Ashely whispered.
"hi" I replied and Ashely kissed my head.
"did you like the fireworks?" she asked.
"yeah" i answered.
"what was your favourite part?" she asked nervously.
"that part where you said i love you because i love you but i was too afraid to say it" i said and Ashely turned me around to face her. she kissed me again.
"when did you... did you knew you loved me?" i asked Ashely.
"simple the day you walked into school and stared at me at the lockers" Ashely said. "what about you?" i thought for a moment, i liked her when i saw her but when i knew when i loved her.
"when you stuck up for me against Jessica. i liked you before that but was when i loved you for the first time" i answered.
