Ashely's POV Robyn and i walked around the shopping centre a week after the lock in. Robyn's gloved hand held mine as we looked for people's Christmas presents. i knew what i was going to get Robyn, a ring. i wasn't proposing i was promising, promising that i would always love her. i just needed a way to bye her the gift without her being suspicious or finding out what i was getting her. "so we've got Liliana's, Mia's, Jason's and Jasmines presents i need to grab some stuff for my little sister, i brought my parents presents online.what do you need to get?" Robyn asked breaking me from my thoughts. "umm i need to get a necklace for my mum in pandora and i've bright my dads stuff already. do you want to go to the toyshop and i will go to Pandora?" i asked hoping she agreed so i could find a ring for her. "that sounds good baby. meet in Starbucks in half an hour?" Robyn said and i nodded my head. she placed a quick kiss on my lips before walking away, i started to navigate my way to Pandora.
Robyn's POV i'm so glad she brought the lie that i needed to buy a present for Harmony but in reality i brought her present a week ago and i needed to get her present. i went to go pick up the heart shaped locket from the engraver, it had a mini calendar with our anniversary circled on it.(see image above but just pretend it's a different date please)i walked into the engraving place and went up to the counter. i gave them my name and they passed me a little black box and inside nested in purple velvet was the locket. it had the date September 9th of 2019 circled, i loved it and placed it in my bag. i went to Clinton's and brought her a card. as i was being the card i saw that they could print and cut photos to put in lockers. "hey umm can you print and trim photos to put in lockets here?" i asked nervously and the lady smiled at me. "yes we do! what would you like me to do one for you?" she asked and i nodded. "okay come to the back and i will run you through it. Alissa i'm doing a locket fitting i will be back in 10 minuets." the girl said and her colleague gave her a thumbs up sign. i followed her behind the counter and through a door. "sorry it's so in the back we're going to move it into the shop like in Yankee candles you know when you design a custom candle? your the first person who has asked for one so we haven't done it quite yet. so what i need you to do is airdrop the photo to this tablet and i will make it fit the locket! all good?" she said and i nodded my head and passed her the locket and airdropped her the photo, it was Ashely and i kissing in the snow. "you guys remind me of my wife and i when we were your age" the girl said and i smiled, at-least she was accepting. she passed me the locket with the photo in it and i placed it back in the box. we went back to the front of the shop and i handed her the money. "no need hunny, have a lovely day" she said and i walked out of the shop.
Ashley's POV i walked into pandora and went straight for the rings. there were many rings but i knew Robyn liked simple diamond and silver rings. a lady with the name badge Margret approached me and i smiled at her. "do you need any help?" Margret asked and i nodded my head. "what's the ring for?" she asked smiling i opened and closed my mouth not sure if i should tell her. i decided to swallow my gut and be honest. "it's for my girlfriends Christmas present, she's always wanted diamond and she likes silver rings. i have a 100 pound budget, any ideas?" i said and she smiled but judging me. she thought for a moment before smiling at me again. "what ring size is she?" Margret asked and i smiled. luckily she owned a ring that had the size number on the inside of it that she took off when she showered. "size 3" i answered. she nodded and walked away. i stood there waiting when she came back with a single box. she opened it and it was gorgeous. it was a silver band with a single diamond in the middle, there were diamond embedded in the band either side of the big diamond.(see image below)

"this is on sale for £60. do you like it?" she asked and i was shocked. "i love it!" i replied staring at the beauty that i held. i then had a look for a necklace for my mum, i found a simple rose gold chain with a rose on the end of it as that was her favourite flower. i brought them and placed them into my bag. i headed to Starbucks where Robyn sat with our coffee orders in take away cups. we left and drank our coffee. "so on Christmas do you want to come over?" Robyn asked an i nodded my head. she kissed me goodbye and we left to go our separate ways.
by the time Christmas came around i was more and more exited to give Robyn her present. i woke up on Christmas and headed downstairs for breakfast. holidays where one of the only times we pretended to be a loving family, my dad was making breakfast and my mum was being all lovey dovey. "good morning honey how are you?" My mum asked giving me a hug. "i'm good" i replied and i sat down on the kitchen island. my dad passed me a plate of bacon and maple syrup pancakes. i ate them up happily, after breakfast we sat around the Christmas tree. my dad opened the present from me, a new set of golf clubs. "thank you hunny i love them!" my dad said and i smiled at him. my mum opened her present and nearly cried. she gave me and hug and put her necklace on. i got the usual half hearted presents, clothes and money. i sound spoiled but i wanted something that meant something to me.
a few hours later i was heading over to Robyn's house with the ring in my coat pocket. i knocked on her door and was greeted by Robyn's mum. "hello hun, come in come in" she said and i got ushered inside. i headed up to Robyn's room and greeted her with a kiss. we talked for a bit until i grabbed her hand and led her out of the room. we walked to the place i was going to give her the ring. i remembered her showing me her favourite place on earth, it was on a large hill where we could look over the town. there was a tree with a swing attached to it where you could swing over the whole town. i led her up to the spot and she looked as confused as ever. i held both of her hands and looked into her eyes. "Robyn, you are my favourite person. i love nothing more than you. i know i what to be with you the rest of my life, you are my only love." i leant down onto one knee and Robyn put her hands on her mouth in a gasp. "i give you this ring as a symbol of my love to you. i promise i will love you until the end of time. do you accept this ring?" i asked and Robyn nodded me head, i put the ring on her finger and kissed her passionately. "i love you"
