"Daniel, I changed my mind. Please don't make me go, I'm nervous!" I pouted. Daniel shook his head, tapping on his steering wheel. He had driven me to Josh's house and by now it was dark outside. We were both sitting in Daniel's car, looking at the large, lit up house.

"Zach, it's already gone eight, he's gonna be wondering where you are" Daniel protested. I bit down on my lip nervously. "What could he want me for? What if he hurts me Daniel?!" I whined.

Daniel rolled his eyes. "The only way he could end up hurting you tonight is by leaving too many hickeys on your neck" Daniel teased. I gave him a death glare.

"We've been over this" I sighed. "Jack is straight, and contrary to your beliefs, he has not booty called me here because I've magically changed his sexuality" I sassed.

Daniel shrugged. "You can't spell denial without Daniel, but lately I haven't been the one to be naïve" Daniel stated nonchalantly. I took a deep breath, swinging open the car door.

"Suddenly, I'd rather be in there getting physically abused by Jack than sitting in this car with you listening to your nonsense" I mumbled, clambering out the car.

"Wait!" Daniel protested before I could close the door. "What?" I bluntly asked. A smile was slowly crossing his face and I could tell I should've walked off when I had the chance. "Did you bring a condom?" He asked with a smirk.

I rolled my eyes, slamming the car door in his face. I could hear him yelling something at me from inside the car but I couldn't make out his words and I wasn't bothered to turn back around.

I was standing in front of the gate that stopped me from being able to get inside the house. I wondered how jack wanted me to get in if I couldn't press the buzzer or use a key.

When I felt my phone begin to vibrate in my back pocket I could tell it was him but I decided to answer it anyways. "What is it?" I hummed with disinterest.

"Jeez man I was just joking with you, that wasn't what I really wanted to say" Daniel complained.
I sighed. "Say what you need to say then cause I need to text Jack."

"I just wanted to ask if you wanted me to wait out here for you. I know I was making jokes but I really do want you to be safe" he mumbled sincerely. A small smile made its way on to my face.

"Aw, so you do care" I teased. I heard Daniel huff. "Of course I care about you, you're my best friend and the most important person in my life" Daniel muttered.

"I don't want you to wait for me. If Jack sees your car out here and knows that I told someone I was coming here he might just get more mad" I reasoned.

"Ok Zach, but please promise me to keep your phone on you at all times. If you feel unsafe or need me for anything text me right away, ok?" Daniel asked. "Ok" I agreed.

"Bye, I love you" I said before hanging up the phone. I waved, watching Daniel's car drive off down the street. When he was out of sight, I unlocked my phone and checked the time.

Shit, it was 8:13. I hope he wouldn't be mad that I was late. I typed out a simple "I'm here" and waited for a response. Almost immediately I got sent a text back.

"I left a key for you on the ground by the post to your left, I'm coming down now so no need to knock on the door."

I shrugged, bending down and finding the key on the floor right where he said it'd be. I shrugged, unlocking the tall gate door and pushing the heavy thing open. Finally I was inside. But there was a lot of grounds before you could get to the actual house - only about a 40 second walk to be up to the front door.

As I was approaching it, it quietly opened and standing there on the other side was Jack. I couldn't make out the expression on his face - he almost seemed nervous.

I was finally face to face with him, and before I could open my mouth to speak he pressed a finger to my lips to silence me. He grabbed me by the hand, pulling me inside and closing the door behind us.
