Zach
"And he just turned all of a sudden?" Daniel questioned in disbelief. I shrugged, nodding. He gripped the steering wheel, turning around the corner.
It was late in the evening and Daniel was driving us to Josh's party. I'd told him about what happened in Spanish class - how Jack had started being nice and all of a sudden turned.
"I'm pretty sure it was the thong. If he tells anyone about that I'm done for. You're so stupid for making me wear that, Daniel" I groaned, laying my forehead against the dashboard in shame. "Ugh it was so embarrassing" I mumbled.
"If he was going to expose you he would've done it there and then. Thinking about it, I don't know why he didn't. Jack's never missed an opportunity to humiliate someone" Daniel reassured, leaning over to pat my shoulder.
"We shouldn't even be going to this party if Jack's mad at me. He's probably gonna punch me if he sees me" I whimpered, shooting Daniel puppy dog eyes. I had been trying to convince him all afternoon to let us miss out this party, but Daniel had made it a habit to drag me to one every opportunity he got.
"He's not mad at you, Zach. You should be mad at him. He's probably just scared of how hot you are" Daniel hummed, shooting me a smirk. I rolled my eyes, shoving his shoulder. "Idiot" I mumbled under my breath.
Me and Daniel stayed bickering for most of the rest of the journey until we finally pulled up to Josh's house. Josh lived in a private area, being the only house around. He never had to worry about noise complaints or cops. I guess when both your parents are the rich owners of a small international company life is just easier.
"Come on" Daniel commanded, stepping out his car and shutting the door behind him. I followed suit, closing my car door and jogging to catch up with him. Even outside the house the muffled sound of loud music rung out, and girls and guys stood about either drinking or on their phones.
I sighed, reaching out to grab Daniel's hand. He laced his fingers with mine and held on to me tightly, knowing I didn't want to get separated from him in the large crowds. We entered the house and were immediately met with the hot atmosphere of recycled body heat emitted from the crowds of teens. The music was loud, but not deafening, and strobe lights danced across the dim room, surely disorienting for the drunken minds of the party guests.
"So, up for a drink?" Daniel asked over the music. I nodded, letting him drag me over to the counter where bottles of alcohol were sprawled across. Daniel grabbed two red solo cups, putting a strong mixture of alcohol in his own but a weaker one in the second. Daniel knew I wasn't a very big drinker - I've never really been able to handle my alcohol well.
"For the lightweight" he grinned, passing me my cup. Rolling my eyes, I couldn't help a small smile from crossing my face as I snatched the cup from him. "Whatever loser" I retorted back, a small chuckle escaping my lips. He grabbed his own cup and took a large gulp. I followed suit, drinking my own concoction of alcohol.
"LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTEDDDD!!" Daniel yelled as he jumped up and down. We made our way out into the crowds, chugging down the contents of our cups so they wouldn't spill when we danced. Once we were done drinking, Daniel took my hand and the two of us began jumping about to the loud music, having the time of our lives.
In fact, we were having so much fun that I didn't notice the eyes of the curly head boy burning in to me from across the room.
