Jack

By the time I'd got to school it was already lunch. Since I wasn't driving Zach to school I decided to take the first half of the day off. I needed some time to think. And even after all that thought, for some reason, I didn't regret what happened.

It was wrong and it was bad and it could never ever get out or it would ruin my life, but, as long as it stayed a secret forever... I wouldn't regret it.

I pulled up outside the school, parking my car in it's usual spot - everyone new this spot was mine, and no one ever dared use it, even when I wasn't in.

I got out, closing the door and walking towards the school. Not to my surprise, I saw Eben leaning against the wall smoking.

"HEY LOSER!" I yelled at him, causing him to look up. When he saw me a wide smile crossed his face. He threw his cigarette on the floor and stepped on it as I walked towards him.

"Yo Jack, you came in!" He wheezed, coughing a little. I scrunched my nose. "Dude you smell like ass" I remarked harshly. He rolled his eyes. "You'd be used to the smell of smoke if you weren't such a pussy" he bit back.

"Fuck off, some of us actually care about our lungs" I argued as the two of us stepped inside the school. "Oh, so is your liver just an exception then? Cause you sure don't mind getting wasted every evening" Eben joked.

I scoffed, rolling my eyes. "Whatever man..." I trailed, a smile taking over my face. I was in too much of a good mood to be my regular argumentative self.

Eben looked over at me with a shocked expression. "Oh my god I don't believe it... is the Jack Avery letting something go for once?!" Eben announced in a sports commentator's voice. I rolled my eyes playfully and shoved Eben's shoulder.

"Ok, ok, whatever..." I mumbled, still unable to wipe the wide smile from off my face. I felt like I was in such a good place that nothing could ruin my mood. "But seriously man" Eben continued. "I haven't seen you in this good of a mood since..."

Eben trailed off, his eyebrows knitting together until finally a look of realisation struck his face. "Oh my god wait, did you get laid last night?!" He yelled. My head shot over to him, giving him a nervous look. "What? Why would you think that?!" I lied nervously.

Eben smirked. "Oh my god you totally did" he teased, poking my chest. I swatted his finger away. "You had the house all to yourself last night and you took your chance!"

I sighed. "Believe what you wanna believe, I don't really care" I stated, a smile still on my lips. Finally we had reached the lunch room. Eben walked over to the large double doors to push them open, but before he did one of the door's open and a guy walked straight past us at a fast pace.

His head was hung low so he didn't even see us, but something about him caught my attention. I turned around, seeing the boy speed-walking away. That's when I noticed he was wearing a light pink hoodie.

I squinted my eyes, and suddenly I saw who it was. Is that... Zach? And is it weird I can tell it's him from the back of his head?"

I turned to Eben in a rush. "Hey man listen. You go ahead, I've gotta go do something first" I insisted, already walking away from him. Zach had already turned a corner and I didn't want to lose him, so I jogged after him just in time to see him walk into the boy' bathroom.

Perfect, I thought as I pushed the door open. The first thing I saw was Zach in front of the sink, vigorously scrubbing his hands. He was so focused that he hadn't even noticed me coming in. I took this opportunity to look under the stalls and make sure the bathroom was empty.

Surely enough, it was just us. "Hey" I called to get his attention. He looked up but still seemed distracted until finally he saw my face. His eyes widened and he took a step back, turning the sink off.

With each step I took closer to him, he took a step back until finally his back hit the wall. A look of fear crossed his face as I took some last few steps and closed the space between us. He was so close I could feel his nervous breaths fanning against my cheeks.

I placed both my hands on the sides of his waist, gripping them slightly. I heard his breath catch in his throat as I leaned in closer to him, until my lips were practically touching his ear.

"You left your shit at my house" I lightly whispered into his ear as I moved one hand down to his ass. I slid his wallet into his back pocket, finally stepping away from him. An evil smile overtook my face seeing how pink and flustered he looked.

"Bye" I mumbled, smiling at him before I turned around and left him alone. Slowly, I began to walk back towards the lunch room. As I walked, I couldn't help but let that twisted smile remain on my face as a thought crossed my mind.

Maybe now I was cured. Maybe Zach was out of my system forever.
