The music in my ears
There is a music in my ears
Drowning everything
It's the only anchor against my tears
I am playing on a dangerous swing
The music isn't loud enough
To stop my mind from going crazy
I still can't give up though
Everything is hazy
I am safe now, can't be sick
The song is keeping all of it out
But then you came and took my music
And each thought breakout
Keeping a straight face
When inside I'm screaming
Because that's my place
How can a nightmare be living?
I needed my music
My anchor to the world
To keep away this frantic
Everything around me swirled
Every sound was too loud
Every colour was too bright
Stormy eyes, stormy cloud
I wanted to furl in fright
My music wasn't here anymore
I wasn't here either
I left with her, followed her to the beautiful shore
Without her, everything is just a burning fever
Please give me back my music
Please give me back my sanity
To tune away all this frenetic
So I can finally be free
