The sky
The sky is melting from blue to orange
Dusk slanting through the sky
That has never seem so big
So dauntingCrowded streets
Tired eyes, heavy souls
Fear in the hollow bones,
Of those who have seen too muchThe sky is big and overwhelming
A dark haze of fading colour
Behind my silhouette
I don't want to be out after darkThe world is at my fingertips
I lived through years of pain
As nothing more than a phantom
A phantom in the shadowsThe sky prickles with stars
The moon has an heavy gave
Of celestial judgement
And the stars hold the secrets I bury in my graveI didn't want to be out after dark
Darkness falling thick and heavy around me
Silent steps and clouding breath
Eyes roaming the sky, the constellations of starsThe sky is too big
A field of darkness
Only cut by the glowing and the pale stars
Losing it in this daunting sky
