I tell myself
The same lie
Each day
Everything will be alright
And I lie to others, too
Everything is alright
And they don't see through
The blood red smile on my face
I lie in bed each night
Repeating the same lie
Hiding the tears to my screaming mind
Hoping everything will be alright
And the next day
I tell myself
The same lie
As yesterday
Everything
Will
Be
Alright
Was it ever true?
Maybe
Maybe not
But an undeniable truth
Nothing
Was
Ever
Alright
