Y/N closed his eyes, hand out and ready to be taken. He had fused before, but only for a few seconds. He barely had time to comprehend what was going on when he fused last- It was just blank. He was walking into this situation completely blinded, with little to no chance of winning his battle. Fear was caught in his throat, and terror lay in his heart.
Steven took his hand, not bothering to dance. He didn't need to- they're minds were already in sync. Pulling his friend close, he felt the light of his gem consume them both until their bodies were united into one. His gem didn't stop glowing for the whole battle. "Fusion? You make me sick- a manipulative disgrace to the Diamond Authority- I'll shatter you Pink!" Holly growled, jumping forward. Her heels clicked as she spun and stretched on the sand, flinging her weapon towards Steven and Y/N's fusion. Dodging her, they ducked and sprinted towards the house.
"So, this is what it's like to be part gem..." Y/N thought, as his creation pulled out a rose- decorated shield, it's lining perfect and prim. "Focus Y/N! We have to stay together if we're gonna beat her!" Steven replied distantly in his head. It was such a strange experience, being part of a fusion. It was almost like you're there, but not. Y/N wondered what his parents must of thought in that moment. He used the bottom set of eyes to look at them, while Steven's other two remained forward at their opponent. He saw them, huddled together and frightened. Jeffrey and Greg were doing their best to sheild them from the fight, but it didn't really help. In that brief moment, he felt sorry for them. For once, they looked so human, so real, so scared. They weren't hiding behind a perfect wall of nothing, but were showing their raw emotions, plain and justified. Despite all of the things they said to him, he still somewhat cared for them, even if it wasn't mutual. No one deserved what Holly wanted to do to them. No one deserved to be in captivity. Not even them.
Abruptly, a smack. It was hard and cold. Crap- he had gotten distracted! The fusion stumbled back, clutching it's face. "Of course, you're too human to poof," Holly groaned, "So I suppose I'll just have to knock you out instead." She made another perfectly timed hit, this time to the stomach. If she went any lower they really would be done for. A third time, this time directed to the thighs, the two fused boys crouched, cowering. They felt something surround them- a bubble. It was perfect! They now knew what to do.
Dashing towards the gem, they ran her over, causing her to splutter and cough. They curtly drifted around, projecting spikes on their small, pink vehical. They pushed forward again, nailing the gem to the ground. She hadn't poofed yet, but she was close. One more run would do it. Suddenly, she zoomed to the four humans, tripping and stumbing on the way there. They were weak, and one hit from her would knock them out cold, or worse, kill them.
Blood dripping from her nose and lip, her new uniform torn and dirty, the gem spoke, shuddering with pain and fury. She had something in her head, and she was going to use it to her advantage. "These disgusting excuses for life forms are your family, correct? One blow from my whip and their bones will break clean in half. Normal humans can't take my weapon. If I hit them in the right place, they're dead." Holly stated, slapping her weapon on the sandy ground.
"We had a deal Holly! If I won, you'd leave us all alone! And I'm winning!" The fused boy roared, still trapped inside their bubble. "You may be winning, but you haven't won just yet. No one said you couldn't use threats, and I'm not going back on my word for you to add in a rule." The gem replied, raising her whip to Jeffrey, who happened to be closest. One wrong move and he was dead. They were all in vast danger. The problem was, Steven and Y/N had no more good moves to use. They were powerless. Stiff. Blank. Until they were awoken by sniffles.
It was Y/N's father. He was crying. Not as he usually did, but he was none the less. Soon after his wife joined, and so did Greg. After all, they were all going to meet their end. Jeffery just braced himself, accepting his fate. A single tear escaped his eyes. Y/N couldn't let this happen, and neither could Steven. The fusion's skin was glowing an angry pink, just like their core gem, but they couldn't do it. Holly was to close for them to move her, and if they moved a milimetre their family were done for. All they could do was give up.
"No," They mumbled, their bubble fading quicker than it came. They were collapsing, together and Still attatched. Everything was obscure shapes and strange backrounds fading to black. It was the last word they spoke before they fell unconscious.
"Cancel the laserbeam and get the robonoids ready to take all the humans from this pathetic beach away," Holly reported to some sort of tiny microphone, hidden within the handle of her whip. "They're already done, Agate," a gruff voice responded.
"Pink won't stand a chance against us, not anymore."
