'How could she'-Chapter 41

Alex's POV:

"I can't believe she did that!" I complained.

Abby ran up to me by my side.

"Hey, Alex, you okay?" Abby said sympathetically.

"No," I said sadly.

"What's her problem... does she like you or something?" Abby asked.

"Ew what no... That guy she was with is her boyfriend" I explained looking down at the ground replaying what happened in the restaurant in my head.

"Oh... well it was quite rude of her anyway to follow you on your date, our date" Abby commented.

"I know right!" I exclaimed.

Abby and I continued to walk down the road until we passed a park. I glimpsed over to see Abby realizing she wasn't there.

"Abby?" I called. I lifted my head up and turned around to see Abby looking into the park.

"You want to go in?" I asked smiling.

Abby gave a nod, so I turned around walking towards Abby and then through the front gate of the park.

"It's very beautiful at night, isn't it Alex?" Abby said in Awe at the flowers being lit by the moon.

"Yeah, it is..." I replied. I looked at Abby than her hand which was swaying softly as she walked.

Come on Alex just hold her hand I said to myself. I built up the courage and slowly touched her hand with mine.

Abby's POV:

I felt something touch my hand so I looked down to see Alex holding my hand softly, I looked up at him but I just saw the back of his head... Aw, he must be shy I slightly blushed at the thought. I slipped my fingers in between Alex's and tightened my grip a little.

"Alex"

"Yes," He replied.

"Would you like to walk me home? it's around the block" I asked.

"Yeah sure," Alex smiled.

Alex and I walked out of the park and around the block trying to keep our minds off of what just happened at the restaurant still holding hands. We were so relaxed with each other... it was great... We eventually got to my house...

"Wow, your house is huge" Alex exclaimed.

"Ehehehe yeah"

Alex walked with me up to my porch.

"I had fun tonight... other than that crazy lady..." I sighed.

"Yeah..." Alex replied sadly.

"Well, would you like to see each other again?" I ask.

"Hell yeah!" Alex said with excitement.

"Well you have my number, I'll see you soon!" I smiled.

I gave Alex a kiss on the cheek before heading inside.

Alex's POV:

As soon as Abby kissed my cheek I felt something like a firework had just exploded off in me I was so happy! I left Abby's home and walked back to my own... In my head, I was thinking of what I should ask Pink... Why was she there? I was so focused on what to say I didn't realize I passed my home.

As soon as I entered inside I saw no one in sight... other than Rusty who was in the kitchen getting some water.

"Hey Rusty," I said quite happy.

"Oh hey man?" Rusty said a little confused.

"Why you up here? Shouldn't you be asleep?" I asked

"I was in my void and I wanted some water to I decided to grab some," Rusty explained.

"Oh Okay..." I replied.

A silence then came over us until I broke it...

"Why was Pink at the restaurant?" I asked a little annoyed.

"I think you should ask her that," Rusty said

"She's probably asleep though, no? It's like 11:00 PM?" I said rhetorically.

"Look I don't wanna say anything because I know she'll get upset if I do. Leave her a text or something" Rusty suggested to me.

"Fine, Well I'm going to bed night Rusty"

"Night Alex"

I retreated to my bedroom shutting the door behind me and decided to write out the text for Pink:

'pink... whY did u spy on me and Abbe on ower ferst dait? It wasnt kool ov u to doo ands I am verry up set wiv u.'

"And send," I said to myself as I ent off the message to Pink, hearing a ding come from her room.

I put on my pajamas and went to sleep.

Pink's POV:

I was woken up by a vibration sound coming from my bedside table. I picked it up bringing the bright screen closer to my face... It was a message from Alex...

Alex:

Pink... whY did u spy on me and Abbe on ower ferst dait? It wasnt kool ov u to doo ands I am verry up set wiv u.'

Me:

Alex the reason why I did it was that I thought you would maybe accidentally slip out something about you or Rusty being half void/ Void. I worried about both of you. I apologize for what I did and when I wake up in the morning I'll properly apologize to you, face to face. You are the closest thing I have to a brother and I just wanted to protect you both...

After a few minutes, Alex eventually viewed my message and didn't reply so I just assumed he went to bed... but I still can't get rid of that guilt feeling.

Alex's POV:

I read Pink's message and I was speechless... I was so angry with her that she didn't trust me! I thought I would teach her a lesson and not reply to her!

I put my phone down and tried to sleep... and with the thought still buried my mind of what she had done...

How could she?
