'Comfort from a Mother'- Chapter 16

Pink's Mom Pov:

Pink held my hand a took me upstairs into her bedroom. As soon as we took a few steps in Pink's bedroom,  Pink walked behind me and closed the bedroom door. She walked over to her bed and sat down patting the bed surface asking me to sit down.

"Honey, what's wrong?" I ask in my sweet Mommy voice wrapping my arm around my daughter.

"A-are you and Dad going to be ok?" Pink questioned looking at me with tears in her eyes. 

I pulled Pink down until her head was on my lamp and I was stroking her hair... "Awww come here. Of course, it'll be fine your father just got scared is all" I reassured her still stroking my hair.

Pink gave a yawn falling asleep on my lap. Works every time I thought to myself. I gave Pink a kiss on the cheek and gently removed her head from my lap and laid her on a pillow. I reached into my purse for my big scarf and wrapped it around my daughter to keep warm. I gave her another kiss on the cheek and whispered to her. "I'll talk to you soon". I shut her curtains which shinned no light through them and walked out Pink's bedroom closing the door behind me.

Walking down the stairs I see Pink's two roommates sitting on the couch. They look over at me and I walk over to them a sit down in the armchair. 

"Pink's asleep upstairs and I suggest you all get some rest to you've all had a long day". I suggest to them with a calm whispered voice. I then looked over at Rusty holding one of hand in both of my own. "Rusty take care of her ok." I smile. Rusty gave a determined nod.

 "Oh!" I realized. I whisper to Rusty. "If you ever want her to fall asleep lay her on your lap and stroke her hair" I got up and wink at Rusty. I let go of his hand and walk out the door not before wishing them well. 

Pink you've got amazing people in your lives I thought walking away to my car and drove home.

Rusty's Pov:

After Pink's Mom left wishing us well. 

"Ayeee look who's boyfriend material" Alex teased punching my shoulder. We both fist-bumped each other, proud of ourselves hehe. At that moment Julia exited the laundry room.

"Hey, guy's what did I miss?" She asked. Me and Alex looked at each other and turned back and said "Nothing in union

"Alex I'll be back in a bit imma check on Pink," I tell Alex getting up to look at him. Alex wiggled his eyebrows with a smug look on his face.

"Shut up," I say in my monotone voice with an embarrassed smile on my face.

I walk up the stairs and turn the doorknob to Pink's room and slowly open the door to carefully hoping to not make any noise so Pink wouldn't wake up. One I stepped inside I slowly closed the door and tiptoed to her side and sat on the edge of the bed. I looked at Pink for a little while until I saw her eyes flutter open with a yawn. Pink turns to look at me.

"Hey Rusty," She said still tired.

"Hey" I smile. 

"Wait" She realizes. "Where's my Mom?" She questioned looking around.

"She went back home I think," I said in my normal monotone voice.

"Oh ok"... "also Rusty"

"mmm" I reply

"You're making dinner tonight," She said. I couldn't be asked to argue with her so I agreed. 

"I'm gonna go start it up, "I said. As I was about to get up I felt two arms wrapping around me and dragged me backward into bed. Pink then wrapped her arms and legs around me refusing to let go.

"Pink common I need to make dinner, And you know how Alex gets" I whine. Pink then got on top of me wrapping her legs around my hips and her arms around my waist with her head snuggled into my chest.

"Mmmmm No~" Pink stated. I'm not getting out of this anytime soon so I might as well enjoy this I thought. I held Pink in my arms as we enjoyed each other company. 

After a few minutes Pink fell asleep and I just closed my eyes enjoying her embrace when-

"I WANT MY DINNER!!!!!!" Alex screamed, flying Pink's bedroom door open. Pink got startled and jumped causing her to fall out of bed. 

"ALEX!!!!!!!" Pink screamed chasing Alex out the door... All I could hear was Alex screaming in fear of Pink chasing him out and around the house.
