Chapter 19

This whole afternoon I have spent with a nervous, wrong feeling about being with Baekhyun. It has nothing to do with Baekhyun either, I just feel slightly guilty about being out with him and not with Sehun. Maybe me and Sehun aren't even anything, maybe it was all just in my mind, he didn't even notice me when I saw him and Tao hugging and stuff. Or maybe I'm just reading it wrong, maybe they're just friends and I'm going crazy.

"Are you ok? You look a little, distant." He asks as we drive down the road to the dealership.

"Oh, yeah, I was just thinking about what kind of car I would want to get." I lie.

"This place we are going to has some of the best cars that aren't really expensive either. I'm really good with numbers and stuff so that might help." He smiles.

I need to stop worrying and just have a little fun looking at cars, I know I'm probably not going to get one as nice as my old one back home but I could find the same one and start upgrading it slowly. I miss my old car, it was really nice, it didn't have a scratch or chip on it and man could it go. It was a 2015 Chevrolet corvette stingray, I had been saving up for it since I was twelve and got it when I was sixteen with my uncles help. It has a 6.2L LT1 V8 engine with up to 460 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque and went from 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds. It was jet black and the windows were tinted dark for.. other reasons.

"What kind of car are you looking for?"

"I want a sports car really bad, I had one but it's back home." I sigh.

"What kind was it?" The question that will go on for a while as I describe every last inch of it to him.

God I'm missing my car more and more as I continue talking about it. I would love to go to deserted areas and really test out what it could do, and freak out whoever was in the seat next to me while I drove. Not because I was bad, but because I was good, but good is an understatement.

Everyone knew that if you need to get out of somewhere fast then to get into the passenger seat of my car and buckle up.

"So you drive?"

"Uh, just a little, I can't say I'm a pro but I know a few things."

I actually have a few different cars, but the stingray would have to be my favorite.

We look around a little but I really don't see anything that I would want to put my money into, maybe I should call my uncle and see if he would want to bring it down here for me. He was the one who told me to call him if I ever need anything.

"We could come back again later when they get some new cars, there really wasn't anything that nice here today. It was still really fun hanging out with you." He says as we get back into his car.

"It was, we need to hang out more. I miss working with you and Chanyeol." I tell him.

"Well you should stop by the bakery sometime, we would give you some free donuts." He chuckles.

"I will defiantly come for some free donuts, and if you're there that's ok too I guess." I joke earning a soft punch from him.

"I take back what I said about the free donuts." He laughs as he pull into my apartment parking lot.

"You should come by again, sometime soon, it was really fun spending the afternoon with you." I smile.

We say our goodbye before I get out and leave to my apartment room. When I get inside I go to my room and change into a pair of jeans and a shirt before going to the kitchen to turn the oven on.
