Chapter 44

Sehun and I talk a little as the kids bring the grocery's in before they put them away and get back to whatever they were doing. One of the girls, Cameron I think, stays behind and sits at the table watching us.

"Uh, sir?" She says after a few minutes.

"Hm?"

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Sure." I say as Sehun starts getting bowls and pots out for us to use.

"Is it true that you have two different sides because your stepdad riped your sole and put it back so your would have a nice and mean side?" How did she know all of that?

"Who told you all of that?" I don't really care that she knows because the whole house will know by the end of the week.

"I didn't mean to affend you-"

"No, it's true, I just didn't know you would know all of that. How did you know all that?"

"I know a lot of things, most of the house uses me as a dictionary when they don't know what some words me and stuff. I just have a good memory." She shrugs.

"Ah." I say before getting back to work.

"Do you miss working at the hotel?" She asks a few minutes later.

"Well, yea- how did you know that?"

"He was thinking about it right now, how you dyed his hands hot pink, and Xiumin helped you."

"Xiumin helped you? So that's how you got the dye, I thought you were just telling him about it." Sehun says.

God, this little girl needs to stay in her own head.

"It's hard to keep other peoples thought out, especially humans, they think whatever they want whenever they want." She sighs. "It's annoying, always hearing everyone, I'll wake up in the middle of the night with Juliet and Dean's moans and crap in my head, and believe me, no one should have to hear that."

"I'll teach you how to control it, and Juliet and Dean will no longer be doing that crap anymore."

"Juliet annoys you, huh? I don't have to hear your thoughts to know that."

"She doesn't 'annoy' me necessarily, but she does know how to push someones buttons. I mean, she was supposed to teach you how to control your powers but I come in and the house is a catastrophe and all this other stuff. You guys are our future and she didn't even seem to give a damn about it."

I continue helping with dinner while Cameron asks me questions, it is a little weird that she is going into Sehuns head and I don't know how she got into mine becuase I always have my thoughts closed off.

"We haven't had a home cooked meal in a long time. I don't think we ever have actually." She sighs.

"Well, do you want to go get everyone and tell them it's ready?" I ask.

"Mhm." She smile before getting up and walking out and upstairs. I get bowls out and set them on the large table and feel really proud of what me and Sehun have made. I will defaintly be highering a cook soon because this was a crazy amount of food to make for everyone.

"Can we get a cook or two?" Sehun whispers to me and I nod and chuckle.

They all start coming in and run around yelling at each other leaving Sehun and I completely shocked. "Everyone sit down!" I say loudly.

They all stop fighting and running around and get a spot at the table quietly before looking at us.

"Wow." Sehun chuckles.

"This is what's going to happen, every day, there will be breakfast, lunch, and dinner for you. All of you will be seated at the table before we serve and there will be no fighting. You will all wash you plates, put them into the dish washer, and help clean up."

"What about Juliet?" Dean says with a small glare.

"She is upstairs cleaning, but usually we will wait for everyone to get down here before serving. So bring a bowl and come get some." I say and they all stand up and hurry over.

Sehun helps me serve them all before they sit down and start eating. I feel pretty good about everything we made and I can tell Sehun is just as proud.

"What's your name?" One of the little girls says with a mouth full of food.

"Don't talk with your mouth full, and it's Luhan." I say before Dean starts choking on his food making a few of the other kids giggle.

"What is it?" He says looking over at me with wide eyes.

"Luhan-"

"The 'Luhan', like our leader Luhan, like, you got your sole ripped and shi- crap." He says catching himself.

"Yep-"

"Why are you here? You should be living in a palace with people waiting on your every command."

"I don't really roll that way, it gets annoying after a while. And this coven needs some serious help."

They all finish eating in almost complete silence which doesn't seem to bother me at all. Once they are done they all come over to the sink and rinse their dishes out and put them in the washer before leaving upstairs for bed.

"Everyone should be in their own room in bed asleep by the time I come up." I call up to them before going back into the kitchen to get some dinner.

"You really know how to handle them huh?"

"I picked up a few things from watching my mom," I shrug. "You have to show them that you are the boss around here or they will all walk all over you, I feel kinda harsh being so strict but you should have seen them when I first came in." I sigh.

I am completely exhusted from today and I feel bad because if I would have know how much work was going to be put into fixing this house then I would have had him stay until I was done. "Sehun, it's not to late for you to fly home, I didn't know how bad this house was and if I did I would have had you stay untill I finished-"

"Why are you trying so hard to get rid of me?" He jokes.

"It's not like that, I just don't want you to regret coming here, because I'm not going to have a lot of free time on my hands untill things start rolling and I don't want you to feel uncomfortable."

"Don't worry about me, I told you I'm not letting you go again. You're stuck with me." He smiles at me.

"Well, I guess we are gonna have to, go upstairs, you know," I say lifting my eyebrows up and down, "and eat because I am starving and this looks so good." I say making him laugh and playfully punch me. "But I'm serious, this does look really good." I laugh as I get a bowl.
