~Louis' Point of View~

It was a forty-minute drive to school from his house and I dreaded it. I wanted to get there as quick as possible, but life likes to go against me apparently...

I turned to glance at Harry since I could feel his gaze burning into me, but as soon as I did his head whipped back to the front, almost as if I caught him doing something he wasn't supposed to be doing. Weird.

"We both know there's something you want to ask me, so just ask Harry," I said matter-of-factly.

"Uh, yeah. I have a few questions actually," He mumbled, clearing his throat and not daring to look at me again. Again with the questions...

"Ask away Curly."

"Ok, um... Uh, well my first question is, how old are you?" He asked quietly, peeking at me for a second before returning his gaze to the road again. What kind of person just goes and asks that?

"I'm twenty," I responded, albeit defensively. He huffed and sent me a quick glare.

"Is that the same response I'm going to get every time I ask that fucking question?"

"What's that supposed to mean?" I wondered, feeling slightly offended. He sighed and shook his head.

"Nothing. It's just that I asked Liam last night and he said the same thing. Wait, did you say twenty?" He asked with a furrowed eyebrow.

"Yeeeeees," I confirmed slowly, as if I were speaking to a child. It feels like it at times, but I guess since I'm a couple hundred years older than him he technically is a child right?

"I could've sworn Liam hinted that you all were nineteen when you turned..." He mumbled, pursing his lips. How adorable. I did not just think that. Pull yourself together Lou!

"Well technically speaking I am still nineteen, but I might as well be twenty," I clarified, shrugging.

"Uh, ok then. What was your life like before you turned?" He questioned, glancing at me again. How nosy! We hardly even know each other and he's already asking about my past life?

"I don't think we know each other well enough for me to tell you that just yet," I responded, irritated, turning to face the window. I ran a hand through my hair, carefully though since I didn't want to mess it up, frowning.

"What? Oh, well fine then," He replied in the same tone I had just used with him. Twat.

"How much longer till we get there?" I asked after a long time full of deafening silence.

"We're here," He muttered. I sighed in relief and jumped out of the car as soon as he finished parking, desperately wanting to get away from the tense atmosphere. Sadly, I realized I had no idea where I was going so I turned back around, only to slam into someone's chest. I looked up at the obviously taller guy and barely held in an eye roll when I saw him. He had a varsity jacket on and too many muscles. Classic jock.

"Watch where you're going fag!" He spat angrily and shoved me, or at least attempted to. He's lucky we're in public; otherwise I'd rip him to shreds. Literally. I opened my mouth to retort, but it wasn't my voice that came out.

"Who are you calling a fag Carson?" That soothing deep voice asked venomously. It sent a shiver up my spine hearing him speak like that. It was kind of a turn on. I mean it was uh, it was scary. Yeah, that's what it was...

"Uh, n-nobody Harry. Is he you're um, your friend?" The jock, or I suppose Carson, stuttered in response. I studied his face and watched as all the anger and blood had drained from it, replaced with fear. Why is he scared of Harry? He's clearly stronger and scarier looking...

"Really? Because I could've sworn I heard you call him a fag. And so what if he is? Does that bother you Carson? Does my friend bother you? Do I bother you?" Harry spat sadistically, smirking when he walked towards the shaking lad and he flinched back. I continued watching as he grabbed the boy's jacket and shoved him against the wall roughly.

"Harry, just drop it," I spoke up, not wanting him to do something that we'd both regret. His head snapped to the side and he looked at me from the corner of his eye, not once loosening the grip he had on the poor boy. I really hope he remembers that he's a vampire and his super strength could snap his bones like a flimsy twig...

"Fuck off Louis. Can't you see I'm busy?" He growled. I saw the pure hatred and anger flaming in his eyes and gulped, genuinely frightened with this side of him. I decided to swallow that fear though and walked over to them, gripping tightly onto Harry's shoulder. Before he could protest I yanked him back, making him release Carson. I kept hold of Harry and nodded my head, motioning for him to leave. He wasted no time and ran off, disappearing behind a corner seconds later. I glanced around and surprisingly everyone had cleared away from this area.

"Why in the fuck did you do that?" Harry yelled, trying to slip out of my death grip.

"Because! In case you've forgotten, you're a vampire now. You could've killed him! What is wrong with you?" I spat out quietly, finally releasing him. He glared at me before walking away, and I watched as he approached the doors to the school but stopped. Without turning around he whispered something, but of course I heard it perfectly.

"You don't know a damn thing about me."

With that he opened the door, breaking it off its hinges, and disappeared inside, leaving me confused and speechless.

A/N: Uh, hi. So what did you guys think of this chapter? Sorry it's so short again. For some reason I just can't write super long chapters, but I'll try my best to make the next one lengthier.

This chapter's dedicated to onedfangirl who guessed correctly first! It was The Past Six Years by Deaf Havana! Thanks for playing guys. Guess again & get the next chapter dedicated to you!

Guess the Song/Artist:

"Say goodbye to the halls and the classes, say hello to the jobs and the taxes. The weekends with old friends spilling into nine to five routine. Tell me how you feel over and done with, like your life is a map with no compass to guide, at the bar, drinking way too much, we song along to "Forever Young". So here we go again, wishing we could start again..."
