When it was finally lunch time I almost screamed out in happiness. I refrained, though, because that would just attract more unwanted attention.
"I just don't get it Lou," Niall was confused. I don''t blame him.
"You know, having every class with Harry isn't as fun as you would think. I've learned so much about him and quite frankly, I don't like the person he is around his supposed mates," I said, frowning as we made our way down the hall towards the cafeteria, ignoring how everyone backed away from us and stared intently. He had witnessed Harry's behavior first hand during fourth period and it completely shocked him. I had tried to show Liam in second and third, but he didn't believe me since Harry talked to him and treated him like his best friend, which I found quite rude.
I mean, why can't he be nice to all of us? Why just Liam? I'll admit that I might, just maybe, have a tiny itty bitty little crush on him, but at the moment I wouldn't mind if he treated Zayn and Perrie the same, that way Zayn could kick his ass...
"I don't want to think about it anymore. There's food to be eaten," Niall dismissed, hopping from one leg to another eagerly. I rolled my eyes and shook my head fondly at him.
"You don't even eat human food Nialler," I pointed out. He sighed and draped his arm loosely over my shoulder as we entered the cafeteria. Oh God, it wreaks in here.
"Oh Louis. Louis, Louis, Louis. Ya know I could eat human food if I really wanted to. I won't though, because it has absolutely no taste and Lili brought some 'special' food," He grinned, jerking his chin out to the left. I looked and saw Liam sitting with Perrie and Zayn, a giant bag placed in the center of the table. I chuckled as Niall quickly skipped ahead of me and sat next to Liam with a giant smile on his face. A moment later I plopped into the seat next to him and placed my chin in my hands, looking at my surroundings. You think people would have stopped staring by now, but noooo.
"So, how's everyone's day been so far?" Liam asked cheerily.
"Ok," Niall mumbled in-between bites.
"Eh, it'd be better if these girls would stop talking smack about me. I nearly punched a girl earlier for making a rude remark about my hair," Perrie said with a smirk. Her hair was, of course, a lovely lavender color. Liam exhaled rather loudly and pinched the bridge of his nose while Zayn smiled proudly and gave her a side hug, kissing the top of her head. Niall and I laughed and I shot her a thumbs up.
"Honestly, not as bad as I thought it'd be. Art could be a bit more challenging though," Zayn said with a shrug. I sipped at one of the drinks and blew out a sullen breath.
"It's been horrible. Can't you switch classes with me Li?" I whined.
"Oh stop being such a drama queen. We're not switching, so deal with it," Liam stated. That's not very nice.
"Whatever," I mumbled irritably, folding my arms over my chest and glaring at the table.
"Where's Harry?" Perrie asked after a few minutes.
"Probably with his stupid friends," I supplied, still irritable.
"Be nice. Harry nor his friends have done anything to you," Liam said sharply. I stuck my tongue out at him and he growled. We began glaring at each other and I was literally about to jump over the table and tackle him, but of course a stupid voice had to interrupt.
"Hey guys." Speak of the devil. Harry smiled and waved at us, sitting in the empty space next to Liam. Of course he would sit there.
"Uh, hey..." Niall coughed, quickly glancing at him then looking away. Zayn nodded his head in acknowledgment and began talking to Perrie, who had waved and smiled at him.
"Hey Harry! Where were you mate?" Liam questioned, giving him a quick side hug, but I noticed that he lingered for a second too long.
"Just spent a little time with the guys, but they started annoying me so I left," Harry shrugged, taking a sip of Liam's drink. Wait. I didn't know they were that close already. Liam laughed and I swear, there was a new-found happiness in him that I hadn't seen for at least a century.
"Well, I've got some business I need to take care of. Nice chatting with you all," I said through clenched teeth. The way they're acting shouldn't be making me feel this indignant, but it is. It's that itty bitty little crush isn't it...
Liam waved me off and I had to hold myself back from attacking him again. He is seriously getting on my nerves. Zayn and Perrie waved and Niall darted up from his seat.
"Can I come with you?" He asked with pleading eyes. I motioned for him to follow and we began walking out, but before we reached the door I swiftly glanced at Harry, regretting it immediately because he was staring right back, green eyes burning brightly. I gulped and quickly looked away, begging the butterflies in my stomach to calm down.
What is this boy doing to me?

"Do you remember Summer '09? Wanna go back there every night. Just can't lie, it was the best time of my life. Lyin' on the beach as the sun blew out, playin' this guitar by the fire too loud. Oh my my they could never shut us down. I used to think that I was better alone. Why did I ever wanna let you go? Under the moonlight as we stared at the sea; the words you whispered I will always believe."
